You do especially in this thread where you barely skimmed the surface of the thread topic. With that said, I have no prob with Kentucky but do enjoy these threads. Highly entertaining.

Go start a basketball thread and talk about it all you want. The pivot to basketball talk in football threads is lame. You Kentucky fans do it every time.

Because clinging to stat threads that are exclusive to one sport that your school is average in at best because you suck arse in everything else isn't lame?

Kentucky is the only SEC school to never win a division in football nor make the CWS.

Don't get so preachy there princess.

And yet we still have a sport we're one of the best in with multiple national championships.

What exactly is Mizzou known for again?

I respect Kentucky badketball. I don't talk trash on UK basketball. But then again, I'm a lot more rational and base my opinions on facts.

Congrats on your BB program. Your football program is historically one of the worst in the power 5. Again...this is a football thread and none of you want to discuss football. Mizzou dwarfs Kentucky in football yet you talk down to Mizzou like you are Alabama.

Trying to act like Missouri somehow has a better football history.

Go back to your mom's basement. I mean seriously, why do admins let you post.

Missouri clearly has a better football history than Kentucky. I mean, are you that much in denial that you can't accept that fact?

Good lord. You haven't won 8 games in a season in 33 years.

Good grief

In a month, Kentucky will be 3-0 against Missouri, in football, in the last 3 years. Let that sink in. Spin it however makes you feel better.

If anyone is trying to spin anything here, its you. I mean come on dude, Kentucky may very well beat Mizzou in football this year as Stoops has the team playing some pretty decent football, but that has nothing to do with what you stated and you know it. Historically speaking, Mizzou has a superior football program over Kentucky in pretty much any metrics one cares to use. You flippantly denied that in your last response to kilo. That type of careless and arrogant attitude from your fanbase is exactly why these fact threads are started.

That is the funniest thing I have read on tRant today!

I am happy to discuss football, even UK football. You just choose to ignore the good points to keep harping on data that slants to what angers you and you want to pick a fight when no real fight is there.

UK is not KU
UK is better than KU

UK has 10 NCAA team championships +2 (see below)
8 for basketball (1948, 1949, 1951, 1958, 1978, 1996, 1998, and 2012)
1 for cross country (1988)
1 for rifle (2011)

+1 if you count the 1946 NIT (when it was the NCAA before the NCAA)
+1 if you count football the year Bear Bryant beat Oklahoma

MU has 2 NCAA team championships +3 (see below)
1 baseball (1954)
1 indoor track & field (1965)

+1 football 1909 (claimed according to wik) Mizzou went 7-0-1 while Yale went 10-0
+1 football 1960 (claimed according to wik) Mizzou went 11-0 due forfeit by opposing team after the fact for ineligible player. 8-2 Minnesota and 10-0-1 Ole Miss were legitimate claimants that year
+1 football 2007 (claimed according to wik) Mizzou went 12-2 and lost to Oklahoma twice. LSU was actually awarded the MNC for beating Ohio State in the BCS National Championship game. That year LSU went 12-0 in regulation and only lost 2 games in the regular season and both went to 3 overtimes. LSU won both the SEC CCG and the BCS game. Mizzou lost the Big 12 CCG so not sure why they claim this title.

See, I can talk football and actually make salient points based on a balanced frame of reference on the actual data. I can also do non football stuff too, like Mizzou winning their last NCAA championship when LBJ was in office or winning a CWS but being 1-15 in baseball against Vanderbilt.

If that is true, Vanderbilt / Ole Miss / State must have superior football too!

What ever will Alabama think?
IF : Mizzou = superior football
THEN : Alabama = core dump

Missouri vs the SEC east since joining conference 12 / 13 / 14 / 15 / 16

1-4 vs Georgia || L / W / L / L / L (old man football and all)
2-3 vs Florida || L / W / W / L / L
2-3 vs South Carolina || L / L / W / W / L
3-2 vs Kentucky || W / W / W / L / L
3-2 vs Tennessee || W / W / W / L / L
3-2 vs Vanderbilt || L / W / W / L / W

Only Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky have beaten Mizzou the past 2 years. In 5 years Mizzou is 14-16 vs the SEC East. Pretty sure NOBODY on tRant would describe this a superior football.

As usual, you come up with more of your gibberish and miss the point. I will spell it out for you since you enjoy trying to show everyone how smart you are. If you compare the history of both football programs, it is self evident which football program is superior. You don't need to bring Bama, Ole Miss or anyone else into your nonsense. It's Mizzou and Kentucky we are talking about and you know it. Any criteria be it total wins, division/conference champs, bowl wins and appearances etc...Mizzou is clearly the better football program, and I can't believe this is even open for discussion.

It's what they do. I mean. Not even 8 wins in a season in 33 years is ducking terrible. Mizzou tied or surpassed their high water mark in wins the last 33 years in 3 if it's 5 years in the SEC.

The Winsepedia page comparing Mizzou and Kentucky historically is downright embarrassing for Kentucky.

Maybe grits thinks people believe his nonsense but everyone with any knowledge of college football knows Missouri is light years better than Kentucky historically in football.

Well, since you brought it up

.500 = Kentuckys bowl winning percentage
.484 = Missouris bowl winning percentage

Clearly UK is better

You are sounding like Tennessee's "Life Champions" ™ when you try and act like Missouri is so superior to Kentucky in football. They are both "average" football teams at best.

Apples to Apples

~ Both are around .500 all time
~ Neither has produced a Heisman winner
~ Both have around 200 NFL draft picks (UK did have a #1 pick tho)
~ Both have around 1.5 dozen NFL 1st round draft picks
~ Both have around a dozen All Americans

While nobody is arguing Missouri may hold a slight edge in most of these numbers it is not like it is a commanding edge like say Alabama dominating Missouri OR Kentucky in these categories.

Apples to Oranges

+ Missouri clearly has more conference championships but they played in the old Big 6 and Big 8 with the likes of Kansas, Kansas State (sans wizard), and Iowa State and only to real competitors in Nebraska and Oklahoma. Kentucky played in the SEC with "The Six" and 6 > 2.
+ Missouri has played in more bowl games but that is expected when you have fewer top teams in your conference historically.
+ Missouri has been in the polls more because they could stand out more in their historic conference while UK has had to compete with "the six" year in and year out.

As for some snapshots in time
In 1950
UK went 11-1 under legendary coach Bear Bryant
MU went 4-5-1 under Don Farout (the guy they named the stadium after)

In 1977
UK went 10-1 under Fran Curci
MU went 4-7 under Al Onofrio

In the 1960's Missouri had its best decade ever under Dan Devine
In the 1960's Kentucky suffered through Collier and Ray

Since joining the SEC, Missouri had it 2nd best years of all time under Gary Pinkle while Kentucky was cratered by Joker. With the Joker gone, UK is on an upswing while Missouri has fallen off a cliff, post Pinkle. While I will give an edge all time to Missouri in most categories it was Apples to Oranges in the SEC vs Big 8. Now Missouri in the SEC started well, they have fallen and Kentucky started poorly under Joker they have risen under Stoops.

To argue "average" Missouri is better than "average" Kentucky is about right

To argue "superior " Missouri is better than "average" Kentucky is poppycock

Face facts, neither school is a football school and neither is going to be thought of as an elite football school unless either schools fans have been drinking from their respective koolaide.
