What's considered a "marquee" game
I'll use the definition loosely here,
I say two marquee games involving with at least mid to upper level teams.
For example, minimum Texas Tech in Big 12, Northwestern in Big 10, Washington in PAC 12, Virginia in ACC, etc.
Now I know you can schedule say a UCLA years out and it looks formidable initially, but if they tank and are terrible when you finally play them, well that can't be held against you.

That 2017 game with Michigan will be the first time Florida has played an OOC regular season game outside of Florida since 1991 - 26 years.

They have been saying this for 10 years. They keep pushing it back.

Because they are so highly thought of that they don't need to win a big out of conference game to get respect.

Still not enough, IMO.
Everybody should be playing a minimum of 2 marquee games OOC each year.
SCAR, UGA and UF usually do ... almost always. Can't think of the last time we (SCAR) failed to do so.

UF
UF almost never does. They generally play FSU and 3 cupcakes (which is better than most of the league since FSU is a powerhouse).
Georgia does every other year or so.

I wish we'd play Virginia Tech once in a while like we did back in the 80s and early 90s.

Damn ... you're right. UF has not - I assumed they did because FSU was the instate rival and I was thinking they usually played Miami, but they don't.
Can't fault UGA for their schedule usually - Boise State was a tough OOC series for them.
And as far as the P5 thing goes, that can be a bit misleading.
A couple of seasons ago SCAR because the only team in history to play, and beat, two BCS bowl game winners during the regular season when they beat both Central Florida and Clemson who both went-on to win their BCS bowl games. We played and beat UNC, UCF and Clemson in 2013, ... UCF on the road and it was, by far, our toughest OOC game of the season that year.

I agree, UGA almost always plays a great schedule.
South Carolina has had very solid schedules as well. Like you said, Carolina generally plays a couple BCS teams and also plays UCF/ECU types that are very solid non-P5 teams.

Of playing true road games OOC.
Obviously scared.

The games are fun, but their fans are weird as hell. The Enter Sandman entrance is cool, but then they start doing the hokey pokey dance, the annoying keys on 3Rd down, and some other weird shite.

LSU did that in 2011 when they beat Oregon, the Rose Bowl winner, and West Virginia, the Orange Bowl winner.

I mean, BYU is as consistently competitive an opponent as Wake Forest, Illinois, Syracuse, etc.
