Wade knocked the guy out cold, it was a bogus call and would not have been made against LSU or Bama

the SEC is a bitch and the NCAA makes them bend over.

They do not understand that leading with the crown of the helmet is the penalty. It is not about if the guy was hurt or not.

So it is ok to spear as long as the other player is not hurt?

Nope.

Just don't understand why this play is being overblown so much, when this kind of play happens several times every year.

So, a few years ago Brandon Spikes tried to gouge another player's eyes out and got suspended for a half. Marquel Wade made a hit that would have been entirely legal if the returner had actually had the ball as Wade thought and he is suspened for an entire game?

Yeah, the SEC is just great.

If you are making the point that Spikes should have been punished more severely you would have a great point...and one that pretty much everyone agrees with.

If you are making a point that Wade should be punished less then you are a flat out idiot.

Uh yes, he acted like complete moron and celebrated it and then acted a complete fool on the sidelines afterwards all the way to the locker room having to be escorted there by coaches trying to get him under control. If he showed any remorse he probably wouldn't be suspended, but he didn't give a shite.

The play with Chad Jones can happen during the course of a play, especially since Petrino loves to hang his receivers out to dry over the middle and its not like the receiver didn't know it was coming, he can adjust.

A punt return when he's standing there with no way to defend himself is bad for the sport.

It was pretty embarrassing for the program as is the reactions of our fanbase but on a good note....it was the hardest hit we have laid in a while and at least he was happy about it.

He actually didn't lead with his crown, but don't let facts get in the way of a good lynching of a young black man.

Watch this and you may understand it. Around the 4 min mark, hits like this are talked about.

I think the lesson to be learned here is this:

Wait until the play is actually over. Wait for the whistles to blow. THEN come out of nowhere and punch the opposition in the face and/or try to gauge their eyes out. Then you'll only have to miss the 1st half of the next game and not the whole thing.

SEC! SEC! SEC!

That comes with a passing game. Your QB can lead the receivers all he wants but there still is a risk of getting smoked.

thats like saying that the returner is an idiot for not calling a fair catch and running towards the gunners

maybe we should do away with punt returns?

This sounds like some kind of hamburger sandwich meal one would find at an out of the way, run-down greasy spoon.
