He waved fair catch. Anyone saying otherwise is retarded. Sec officials call any hand gesture and he waves it off just before getting creamed which doesn't matter bc the ball hadnt gotten there yet. arky

Retarded SEC officials said he didn't wave for a fair catch which allowed Vandy to advance the ball.

There was no taunting.

Fact.

There could have been some concern for an injured fellow player. But he is an 18 year old kid playing a man's game at incredible speeds.

He made a mistake. Time to move on.

I agree...but Hog fans will keep this thread going. Did anybody see the Bayless/Smith interview that basically said "hey herbstreit...you're a douche"

When I saw the first thread on Saturday, I went with the crowd. He is a punk, thug, etc. Then I started looking at the evidence. There is ample proof that he was excited about the possibility of making a big ST play, mis-timed it and just blasted the PR. After the hit he is clearly amped up, bouncing up and down, but nothing else. No jawing. No trash talking on the field. Nothing.

I think he would admit that if given the chance to do it over again, he would have tackled with his shoulder and would have checked on the PR when he saw he was down. Other than that, not much more could have been done. Fortunately, neither of these young men was hurt on the play (to include Wade).

is there a video anywhere that shows Wade the entire time. I believe the announcers were referring to behavior that he exhibited while the cameras were not on him. The camera followed the advance of the ball by the other Vandy player. Not one video I have seen has shown him from the time he made the hit to walking off the field and then his behavior on the sideline. All I have seen is the hit, him bouncing as he runs towards the sideline and then after he is on sideline and jawing the cameras stayed on him till he was escorted out of the field of play.
