I fully expect Alabama to demolish ND, and I think the SEC is still the best conference in football. However I dont think the gap is anywhere near what SEC pundits and fans made it to be. There is a lot more parity in college football than many thought.

It's because Arkansas is down. Expect that to change next season.

Noted. However, if any team outside the SEC gets the "A" game of the top 6 teams in the conference, it will end badly.

Case in point:

Clemson got LSU's "D" game and barely won.

Louisville got Florida's "F" game and won.

Nebraska got Georgia's "C" game and got beat by 2 touchdowns.

Michigan got South Carolina's "D" game and LOST.

Nahhh, I think other teams are tierd of hearing all the SEC love. They are coming to play hard ball. Bama watch out, and frick you.

Bound to have a letdown year sooner or later. When the entire country gets to play the underdog role the SEC's run is simply unsustainable.

Top to bottom the SEC is best , but I think Notre Dame is going to give Bama all they can handle maybe beat them.

Brian Kelley is light years ahead of LSU's offensive staff.

It should be a realy good coaching duel.

Snap judgements are great. USC lost to ga tech. Ucla lost. Ore st lost, wash lost. PAC 10 is awful.

Screw the SEC.

It's a top heavy but otherwise average conference like always. Lots of delusional people out there with misplaced conference pride.

You should probably worry about finding a new head coach.

The gap is still very much there. This year is just like every year. The SEC teams that didn't get into the BCSNCG come out flat. Being in the Sugar Bowl is not where Florida wants to be.

This is pretty routine- Utah and Alabama, Georgia's done it a few times, LSU did it this year along with Florida.

We will see how good the SEC is with the remaining games. If they sweep, they're just as dominant as the hype with just a few bad dropped games. As long as they win 5 this year, its about as good as the hype.

Rushing:

Notre Dame - 202.50 ypg (4.99 ypc)
LSU - 179.92 ypg (4.53 ypc)

Passing:

Notre Dame - 218.83 ypg
LSU - 207.25 ypg

Total:

Notre Dame - 421.33 ypg (6.03 ypp)
LSU - 387.17 ypg (5.56 ypp)

Scoring:

LSU - 30.25 ppg
Notre Dame - 26.75 ppg

40 total yards per game more than LSU and 3.5 points per game LESS than LSU tells me that both offenses are equally bad...LSU usually has a shorter field.
