I drove a dark green silverado when I was a teen in San Antonio. Close to the same color as ICE vehicles. I had a PA system in it as well. Let's just say I know what you are talking about.

I think it's crazy that there are as many people in the Houston area than in Arkansas and Mississippi combined.

Why is it crazy? There are a number of metro areas where this is true.

Not really. I can't speak for Arkansas, but who would want to move to Mississippi?

Just for reference, the US population growth % for that time was 306%. Very few of these states exceeded that.

Largest Growth - 1900 to 2010
1. Florida (3447%, 18.3M)
2. Texas (737%, 22.1M)

This is crazy. Also explains how FL passed NY as the 3rd most populous state in 2014

Gee, I wonder why people have been moving to FL and TX and metro Atlanta instead of those wonderful locales?

The SEC is sandwiched between Floruba and Texico. They'll soon want Puerto Rico brought in for a little diversidad Español.

Louisiana has grown very little since 1980. the economy simply won't support more jobs.
