So, since the Auburn players "gave up" on the play, it's considered over?
The only effort I saw an Auburn player do was the Olineman holding the Arkansas guy trying to keep him from getting to the ball on the ground

No, because there wasn't an immediate recovery after the whistle blew it dead.

So you missed the 2 AU players that dove for the ball?

That recovery was after 2 others tried to recover the ball, it squirted away, hit the ref in the foot and 3 other whistles blew.

Football moves were still being made toward a fumble immediately after it happened

Premature whistles happened. Refs fricked up

No because the whistle blew and it was an eternity after they blew before anyone actually had possession. This isn’t complicated

Definitely wasn't clear and immediate.

The whistle and play wasn't immediate either. I don't think refs or players knew what to do. Unfortunately the ending was decided.

Our defense played their arse off tonight. You do realize Kiffin ran his offense against this defense every day for three year right?

had the first guy that dove for it recovered it, Arky would have an argument.

Eta: they still have one in that the ref blew the whistle in the first place

So in other words, the ref blew the call and is using the "whistle blew" excuse to justify it.

It was a fumble. The rules state that it doesn't matter how long it takes to recover, regardless of the whistle.

The SEC statement is as brazenly unfair as the SEC schedule for conference games. We get it! The SEC Office doesn't like Arkansas.

The rule doesn't state that at all. Requires it to be recovered in the immediate football action after the whistle.

The rules do not state that, your reading the wrong section.

Yes and the whistle wasn't immediate after the qb spiking it. The play wasn't dead and only sounded whistle when the 2 players went for it.
