Biggest Disappointment - the entire secondary
they are only mildly disappointing to me, with bright spots. we got thrown at alot, because the run d was so good. we have given up more yards but our yards per play are actaully better than last year. we are definitely not 2011 good, where every single player made it to the nfl

Surprise: Beniquez Brown

Disappointment: Kicking games, again, although not as had as last year.

Y'all found some semblance of a kicker this season.

We didn't though

Rebels - 8/14
Bulldogs - 10/12

Disappointment: Bryan Allen, punters, front seven vs. Florida, USCe, and GT

Biggest Surprise: Kendell Beckwith all day. Had no idea what we had in him. Kids special.

Biggest Disappointment: Rashard Robinson and Anthony Jennings. I believe Bama turns out differently if Rashard plays, resulting in a different end to the year.

Mizzou Surprise: Kenya Dennis.

Could have named several like Shane Ray, Bud Sasser, Michael Scherrer and others, but the JUCO transfer Dennis stepped into the void left by EJ Gaines after the Indiana game and tied the secondary together to backstop a great front four.

Mizzou Disappoinment: Dorial Green-Beckham

He totally derailed the offense and forced Mauk to build chemistry with three new starters from scratch.

SEC season is over. Who was the biggest surprise/biggest disappointment?

Mizzou Surprise: Kenya Dennis.

Mizzou Disappoinment: Dorial Green-Beckham

Good choices.

Biggest Surprise - Michael Scherer

Dude's a baller and he's gonna keep getting better.

Biggest Disappointment - Maty Mauk

I think he's a good QB and will get better, but he was so inconsistent this season. In hindsight, he looked better last season with a much stronger WR group covering up some of his weaknesses.

Surprise doesn't quite do justice... amazement: Defense. Arkansas stayed close in games we should have been blown out in thanks to our vastly improved defense.

Disappointment: Marshall, WRs, Chaney. Korlis Marshall should have been knocking on the door for a Heisman. Our WRs couldn't catch a cold for the most part, though they do block well. Chaney... well... I can't talk about him without risking a stroke.

Biggest surprise is definitely Sims...he didn't keep that Bubble Screen Blake nickname for too long, did he?

I'd like to say our PKing was the most disappointing, but can you really say it was a disappointment when it has consistently sucked since Tiffen graduated?

Agree ... I'll add that I'm pleasantly amazed with Robb Smith as well.

Disappointment: Agree with Marshall. Ridiculous. And good riddance.

Chaney isn't a disappointment - I expected he'd be more of the same, just horrible, awful, terrible, etc. etc. etc. ... I am disappointed that it seems he will still be among us.

Biggest surprise was LSU losing to little brother schools like MSU, Auburn and Arkansas. Biggest disappointment was getting beat by Saban yet again.

Biggest Surprise: Godchaux really stepped up as a freshmen DT. Especially for a guy that was a DE in high school

Biggest disappointment: gonna go with Robinson. I thought he would be all SEC if not all american, dumbass couldn't be bothered to go to fricking class.

Surprise - Harold Brantley.
Of the sophomore DT's I expected Josh Augusta to have the better season. Brantley looks like he could be a Day 1 or 2 NFL draft pick if he keeps developing.

Disappointment - Maty Mauk
From the way he played last year when Franklin was hurt I had very high expectations. It came out before the Alabama game that he had been playing most the season with a bad shoulder. He didn't have near as good a year as I thought he would. Although our receiving corp didn't help matters much.
