Probably why the school petitioned the state legislature to change the name to Louisiana School for the Deaf.
Let's remember, the whole reason they they had room to take LSU was that they had plenty of space available. Because there thankfully wasn't a lot of disabled students in that time period.
LSD does good work. I'm glad LSU played a role in the creation of their current campus.

the NCAA recognizes LSU's 1908 title. LSU, for whatever reason, still continues not to, but it's still as legit as plenty other claimed titles by other schools.
