you haven't improved as much as the teams you're going to play.
Now that may very well be true.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I have heard Les Miles is 4-1 against Auburn in the past 24 hours.

Who have they played against to make that kind of assessment? LSU has yet to play the actual good teams portion of their schedule. You don't actually know if they are better yet.
Fair enough, and there's still a lot of football left to be played. But that doesn't take away from the fact that we're nearly 50% done with the regular season, so a lot of football has been played already.
I think most teams, including LSU, have a general idea of what the identity of their team is going to be this year after 5 weeks.
LSU is going to be a team that plays great defense, great special teams, runs the ball well, and tries to pass just enough to get the job done and keep the defense honest.

Unlike most other teams in the conference, LSU has only played against BCS conference opponents thus far.

I guess WVU was the best team LSU has played thus far.

Alabama will beat LSU however bad they want to.
Auburn and Arkansas will win by 14-17 points over LSU.

LSU actually has the #22 ranked strength of schedule according to Sagarin through 5 weeks of play, and LSU hasn't even entered the "meat" of its schedule.

hould take more heat than Miles are the people that lose to Miles.
That's why those people are picking up unemployment checks, and no longer coaching SEC football.

They'll be competing to play in a BCS bowl.

Two of those coaches are currently head coached in another conference, and one of them left his school on his own to take a better job somewhere else. Flawed argument.

Whatever makes you feel better, buddy.
Who left his school to take a better job somewhere?

A better measure would be Les Miles vs current SEC coaches.
Uhh..no.

West Virginia would be pushed around in the SEC, but I don't get your emoticon use on that one.
Who do you have winning the Big East?

did the Big East lose their auto-bid?

I agree. We are the same basic situation we were last year, and we will do no better than
9-4 or 8-5 unless a radical improvement in the offense occurs.
Lee may be the answer comparitively, but his recent lack of experience showed yesterday in both the intentional grounding and the pass to nowhere that he floated 30 yards downfield.
I like Mark Maye's suggestion: Make Sheppard the QB with option to pass periodically, but mostly run the wildcat ala Ark. a couple of years ago.
