It is simply stunning to me how Connor Shaw, a man who never lost at home and has literally willed his team to victories over the last three years, is continually ignored for superlative honors.

His TD-INT numbers are 21-1. For as much love as McCarron gets over that stat, Shaw's thrown fewer picks.

Regardless, I know he'll get ignored for this, as well as the Heisman. But I wouldn't trade him for any other QB in the conference.

I completely agree that he gets looked over way too much when it comes to conference and national media. Great QB and even better kid. As a UGA loyalist, I cannot tell you how happy I am to see him leaving Columbia. As a fan of the great game of College Football: He will be sorely missed.

Point taken, but the more important aspect of that is that Murray was able to do it 4 times in his career and is the only SEC QB to ever do so. McCarron has never been able to do it once. Again, I am not advocating a McCarron vs. Murray debate, but I just think that speaks to just how good McCarron's teams have been around him much more that him being a more outstanding player than Murray. Both are outstanding and worthy in there own right to be considered for the nomination.

Or Murray has HAD to throw for more yards and yet hasn't accomplished anything close to McCarron when it comes to team goals. Not to mention Murray is listed 6'1" which means he actually height will be 5'11"-6 flat/. That is why he will struggle as a pocket passer in the NFL. You can maybe get away with being that short in the NFL if you are a run threat.

As a former scout, I can assure you that he will be fine when it comes to his prospects of being an NFL QB. Also, if you think that Murray isn't a threat to run then you haven't been paying attention to anything but Alabama football all year. I suggest some folks ask UT if they think Murray isn't a threat to do damage to teams when he leaves the pocket. Just because he doesn't do it every play, doesn't mean he is completely incapable of it...

Shaw definitely impressed me the most. Missouri had a defensive answer for every QB they faced this season, including JFF and Murray. But they had no defensive answer for Shaw. He ripped Missouri's defense to shreds.

Not everyone wants to 24/7 suck that bama dick buddy

There are a number of players who I'd say deserve it over AJ and it has nothing to do with me being an LSU fan.

Since when is Auburn the best team in the SEC?

Since they beat Alabama? Of course, they still have to beat Missouri to get that title officially.

You gotta give Alabama fans some leeway. They're used to calling themselves the best team in the SEC even when they don't win the conference title.

Considering how he LITERALLY carried UGA through injury after injury, comeback vs. Auburn, great game vs. LSU, I vote Murray.

Nick Marshall deserves it if we win Saturday..

Came in, took over in a few weeks. Has been money

It would be difficult to argue against him. Tre Mason has been great, but I think Marshall makes the offense go.

Basically AJ took off earlier in blow outs.

No. not really. his backup only threw 29 passes.
Murray did not play in the last game.
On the pother hand, Murray threw the ball 47 times more than McCarron.

Nothing against McCarron. He's a good one.

ODJ#3 How many yards this season? He also ran a missed field goal back for a 109 yard return.

Tre Mason would be a close second for me. Tre showed out this year.

Only because he isn't the "sexy" pick. Maybe if he had hair?

Skimming over this thread and I haven't seen a single Non-Bama fan say Mccarron. I may be wrong though. Just an observation. Carry on.
