#40ish is better than #128 (dead last in CFB). But it's week 1.

Kentucky lost to Southern Miss, and it wasn't particularly close.

Because we won.
I get that, but a power ranking is a little more than just w's and l's. None of the 3 looked good, but close losses to pretty good power 5 teams seems better (power ranking wise) than a win against la tech due to missed field goals.

Not a big deal, just seemed a strange order for what was titled a power ranking. I'd rather be 1-0, but I thought power rankings were different than standings.

I'd put Tennessee, South Carolina, and possibly Vandy ahead of Florida

Southern Miss outscored Kentucky 34-0 to close out the game, in Lexington...

7th is deserved

If you want to put UT ahead of Florida, fine...whatever but the entire East looked like hot garbage outside of Georgia who looked pretty good.

You are right, it's week 1. These can change drastically after next week.

Auburn will win most of their home games if their defense can keep up what they did last night.

You could make an argument for that, but bottom line the only teams that really looked good were Bama, aTm and Georgia.

You're just picking nits with the rest of the order.

Guess if I'm going to bitch about others rankings

West:

Bama
A&M
Ole Miss* (projected, obv)
Arkansas
Auburn
LSU
MSU

East:

Georgia
Florida
Tennessee
South Carolina
Mizzou
Vandy
Kentucky

Bottom 3 in the West and Bottom 4 in the East are going to be entertainment in their own shitty way

That must be some fairly potent stuff you are packing the peace pipe with.

I agree on the east but Arkansas should be moved under LSU and Auburn.

I know Auburn had somewhat of a moral victory, but they were not impressive enough to move above a team that actually won IMO
