The problem is that all the doormats in the SEC have gotten better and other than Bama we now have a bunch of 3-4 loss teams in stead of 3-4 teams with 1-2 losses.

Also look at LSU and Auburn lost to Wisc and Clem in pretty close games at the beginning of the season so we took improved our conference OOC SOS up. You can also look at Bama playing USC who looked terrible back then but finished respectable.

This year, the Big Ten's top three teams (Ohio State, Michigan, and to a lesser extent, Penn St.)would likely beat any team in the SEC not named Alabama. However, I think Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Northwestern would have a fight on their hands with any SEC teams and that the lower tier Big10 would get beaten by any SEC team. (maybe not MO)
