I don't see that being a problem for anyone but Kentucky. Maybe not even then.

Terrible recruiting class? Check
New coach that's never been a head coach anywhere? Check
Transitioning to a 3-4 without the personnel? Check (and we know this from experience)
75% of offensive production gone? Check
Gutted Defense? Check

Back to the bottom.

I am predicting at least nine wins for those hillbilly snake handlers. And than nine could go to 10 or even 11. Why? Because this year the Vols have something they haven't had for a while: depth.

We have to play @ Alabama though.

These days, Bammer's have to be ordered by Saban to stay or else have their tix taken from them. IOW, I wouldn't worry about home field advantage so much as the 'Saban Ref Advantage.' That said, the ref advantage is easily cancelled out by the 'Lane Kiffin Disadvantage.' (Just be sure to make sure those footballs are inflated properly and be mindful of the patented Kiffin mid-game jersey switch).

UGA thumps SC Sept. 13th. UF thumps UGA Nov. 1st. SC thumps UF Nov. 15th. All end the season at 11-1 How would the tie-breaker rule apply?

No worries, MIZZOU goes 12-0 and this shyte scenario is avoided.

No way. They lost their entire OL and DL. Their QBs and RBs will take a beating and teams will run the ball all over them. Esp late in the season.

They could beat us if we don't show up, but they are snake bitten when it comes too Florida.

We have been there we know...

Here ya go:

quote:
2. Three-Team Tie (or more).
If three teams (or more) are tied for a division title, the following procedure will be used in the following order: (Note: If one of the procedures results in one team being eliminated and two remaining, the two-team tiebreaker procedure as stated in No. 1 above will be used):

A. Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams;
B. Record of the tied teams within the division;
C. Head-to-head competition against the team within the division with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non-divisional) and proceeding through the division (multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last and a tie for first place will be broken before a tie for fourth place);
D. Overall Conference record against non-divisional teams;
E. Combined record against all common non-divisional teams;
F. Record against the common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non-divisional) and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division; and
G.Combined SEC record of the team’s cross-divisional opponents

Can somebody explain "A". If all are tied, then A does......???

Unrelated question, but this thread made me think about it for some reason.

The AU v. UGA game is always so late in the year. Suppose one of the two comes in undefeated at 9-0. Doesn't the game not matter for anything besides pride and seeding purposes now that we have a four team playoff? The undefeated team does not need to win the game necessarily.

I guess 4 other teams could go undefeated across the country, but you could almost bet your bottom dollar that a 12-1 SEC champion gets into the playoff every year.

Depending on who's on the schedule, I'm thinking an UNDEFEATED team gets an edge over one with loses.

Don't see Florida having one loss with having to play UGA, USC, LSU and Alabama.

The team that loses first will end up going, just the way the ranking work. Late losses are worse than early losses.
