Pardon my cynicism then. From all accounts he sounds like he has got his head on straight though I would like to see a little competition for QB1. Not in love with the idea of him "locking down" that top spot. I want to see him work for it.

I'm sure he was already told he would be the guy that's why he is there.

They should work Blake Sims into trick plays where we have him throw and run the ball.

oh he's gonna be a stud, no doubt about it. His dad told my grandfather that he had jameis beat out the entire offseason and they made a last minute decision to start jameis. Nonetheless he wins the heisman. He's gonna be good for sure.

Alabama: Jacob Coker
LSU: Anthony Jennings or Brandon Harris
Georgia: Hutson Mason
USC: Dylan Thompson
Mizzou: Maty Mauk
A&M: Kyle Allen or Kenny Hill*
Vandy: Stephen Rivers or Robinson(think that's who it is)

I think Kyle Allen will shine at A&M as much as a true Freshman can and be best of group in future.

Coker shines because Saban can win with anyone really.

I hope Jennings shines and Harris can redshirt but just don't think will happen.

Only reason Mauk won't shine is because loss of receivers but he has the talent and experience. Actually he would be my chose to disappoint because of the WR losses.

To be honest, even with all these new guys I don't look for much disappointment.

I think he'll be good for us. But id like to see it on the field. He doesn't need to be Unitas, we've won it all with Gmac. He does have an absolutely loaded class of skill positions

A lot of people think he will be good to great. Sorry you don't like that outcome. Go find us someone who thinks he will struggle.

I think he will be like a Zach Mettenberger with good feet.

That would be wonderful. As long as he doesn't turn the ball over most UA fans will be happy. Bama has been spoiled somewhat with the low amount of turnovers AJ caused. His int numbers were not the norm for QBs in the SEC.

Mcelroy didn't turn the ball over much either.

Yeah, if that's the case this will be the greatest Bama team in the history of college football.

Now explain why you think this. What has he done to make you believe he'll be that kind of passer? When Mett got to LSU it was after he put up some pretty good numbers in JUCO. Last year he benefited from the best QB coach in the SEC. Coker has Kiffin.

People like you shite all over Kiffin, but would the most type A control freak in all of college sports really hire a guy who would do any harm to the dynasty he has put together? Kiffin will be fine. I hate the hire due to the risk/reward, but he will be fine.

Dont believe Mason, Coker or Jennings will shine this year. Manage games? maybe, but not shine.

My favorites to be stand out Qb newcomers are Thompson and Maty Mauk

Hell no Coker won't start over me.

Serious note, Coker will be alright. Has good wheels to escape the pocket and buy more time, good arm, good receivers around him, great RBs. Just needs to work on his chemistry with the receivers and let the oline gel together.

People like me? Literally everyone but Bama fans think Kiffin is a shitty hire. He's never been a QB coach and everything that guys touched in the last few years has turned to complete shite. It's the most puzzling thing Saban has done in his entire career.

So y'all should have no excuse not to shut Bama down. Over-hyped QB and shitty OC. Bookmarked.

Literally not true. I don't have time to link but I've read articles from I'm sure non Bama fans calling the hire good. Maybe he has never been a QB coach but it's not like he hasn't had any contact with QBs while coaching. The hire is surprising but Saban usually doesn't frick these things up, maybe he broke that tradition but I'd be willing to bet no. The people who think Kiffin will ruin the season by simply being on the staff are laughable.

A simple google search found 2 articles: one on sbnation and one on bleacherreport.

The upside to all of it is the Bama defense will be ridiculous this year and y'all have a stable of RBs. If the o-line comes together Kiffin won't really matter anyway.

So if he won't matter is it really a shitty hire? Like I said the people on here who honestly think that Kiff dawg will be the end of our current run are funny. Saban simply would not let that happen. Lane will be gone in two years at the longest, probably to a low end power conference team in need of a jolt. At that point we plug in the next OC till he's hired away.
