I know most of you don't have the experience with Finebaum that we have, but trust us...he is not an Alabama homer. All he is doing is setting things up for a meltdown if Bama loses a few. If Alabama goes undefeated, he gets to say "See, I told you so," and rides that wave. It's a win-win for him.

Not a fan that he has basically taken over the SEC Network. He's lost when the topic turns into an actual football discussion.

SEC network blows

However, I was able to get free Max NFL Redzone and $30 off a month for a year though so

Get Paul off the air.

right now they're just filling space with Paul, either he will expand beyond his "fanbam" show format that features a lot of head noding(yes) to the reewwwwlll taahhddddd mouth breathers or he will be replaced. They just haven't figured out who should be in that spot, yet.

Alabama is going to be very good even with average QB play.

Agreed, however the same can be said of LSU. In fact, the Tiger offense could well wind up better than 'Bama by season's end.

Finebaum is at his best doing Jerry Springer style talk radio and being a yes boy for all that is Bama. His radio show was entertaining but not much football content. He knows next to nothing about college football.

Friends on the West Coast are calling me to say that PF's show, his callers primarily, are being mocked & ridiculed up & down the coast. The sterotype of SEC football fans as ignorant southern trailer trash is now the "brand" of the SEC thanks to ESPN & PF.

^^^^^^ fricking this right here. I've heard it as well.

People already think we're ignorant, self-absorbed southern trailer trash, and this seems to be the brand the SECN wants to sell. This conference deserves so much better. Did Slive have in mind Finebaum and his "workin' on my GED" callers to be the figurehead and representative of the outstanding student-athletes at these fine member institutions? I think not.

The Pac-12 Network seems so clean and professional and a respectable platform for an academic and athletic representation. The SECN should be the same. It should be a beacon. It is not in its current form. It perpetuates a stereotype and alienates.

Even the intro was just so self-absorbed. We don't have to shout as loud as we can how great we are. It's obvious on the field. It is repulsive to anyone outside who might be curious as what the conference is all about. You're not going to win viewers outside the South that way.

The Network needs an overhaul and it starts with Paul. I was afraid we might have made a deal with the devil with ESPN. They will sensationalize and squeeze every ounce of integrity out of the network for short term gain if they aren't put in check. Slive should have stipulated that Finebaum be no where near the SECN headquarters when he signed the deal.

I agree. Watching it now, player Ole Miss can't afford to lose: Prewitt? Now that is funny shite. Not Wallace or Tunsil, they went with Prewitt.

One knows next to nothing about any sports team outside of the city of Miami
The same can be said about any journalist anywhere.

But I would very much like to see this golum-esque Paul Finebaum gone from the network. I dont think I've ever seen him analyze football. He always generalizes stuff and seems to know nothing about the actual Xs and O's. And the callers are mostly creame of the crop Gumps or Auburn fans. At first it was funny, but then it was just annoying. No real constructive football talk.

I think Paul is pretty fair across the board. He has a heavy sec bias. And I appreciate that. I like him.
