Slive's answer is EXACTLY why you need Vanderbilt. The SEC doesn't have to give financial information and it's protected from FOIA

Wish they'd sell it straight to consumers via the Internet (ie Netflix, Roku channel, etc)

Yeah I know, still would be interested in the details of the deal though didn't figure we would get much of that anyway.

No clue, I only jumped on right at the end. It would be awesome if they did however.

According to KSR, the network's estimated value will be about $400 million per year in television revenue... around $28.5 million per team.

i'm interested to see what other complimentary programs they will include...i.e. SEC recruiting and possibly live high school football on Fridays. this is what created an uproar w/ UTx, but would work to the SEC's advantage... especially putting a freeze FSU, Clemson and GT that compete head to head w/ SEC schools for recruits.

If that is just revenue from the Tier 2 and SEC Network deal then that is awesome. If that is including the CBS deal too (aka all TV revenue) then $28.5 is incredibly meh. I wanted $30 million + a team. That is what the B1G will get in 2017.

Not quite. What created an uproar was the network's vice president blurting out that they were going to use the channel as a RECRUITING TOOL, broadcasting games exclusively to showcase Longhorn commits...even those out of state.
