Thanks Cheese - we're dancing for real now.
I honestly think they put us in the same region on purpose. It guarantees that UF, UK, and UT don't meet in the final four -- all three have a chance of making it, especially UF and UK with UT having more of puncher's chance of going that far but this ensures only 2 at most can make it. However if it had happened the committee giving the SEC only 3 teams and having all 3 appear would make them look terrible despite the fact they're supposed to avoid putting us in the same region. They'll look bad enough if both UF and UK are in the final four yet the SEC only gets 3 teams in.
I know the conference has a ways to go but given who got in we should've had 4-5 teams instead of only 3.

NCAA was really out to make UK's run brutal.
1st game Kansas State
2nd game #1 Wichita State
3rd game #4 Louisville (already played this season)
4th gane #11 Tennessee or #3 Duke or #7 Texas or #2 Michigan
(Louisville, Tennessee, and Duke are UK rivals)
If the world was good, Vols would take out Duke but since it will basically be a home game for Duke and the refs will be in their pockets, not sure if holding out hope will make it actually happen.

Here are the bids by conference (min of 2 bids in conference
Bold teams lost 1st game, italic teams lost second game, and underlined lost 3rd game.
7 : B12 : Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Iowa State / Texas, Baylor, Kansas
6 : ACC : NC State, Duke, Virginia / Pittsburgh, Syracuse, North Carolina
6 : B1G : Iowa, Ohio State, Nebraska / Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State
6 : P12 : Colorado, Arizona State, UCLA / Oregon, Arizona, Stanford
6 : A10 : Saint Joseph's, Massachusetts, George Washington, VCU / Saint Louis, Dayton
4 : AAC : Cincinnati / Louisville, Connecticut, Memphis
4 : B E : Xavier, Providence / Villanova, Creighton
3 : SEC : Kentucky / Florida, Tennessee
2 : MWC : New Mexico / San Diego State
2 : WCC : BYU / Gonzaga
Hell, the American got more bids than the SEC. NCAA screwed them as well, as 3 of their 4 bids are all in the East Regional.

Which team loses first??

The A-10 getting 6 teams in is a fricking joke, St. Louis should have lost and they would have been 1-5 with Dayton squeaking by.

I really think Tennessee, Kentucky, and Florida will all lose their next game.
Out on the limb, I know. But I think it happens.

An 11 seed doesn't rate special consideration, so Tennessee was going to go wherever they could conveniently fit them. Given that UK is an 8 seed, the committee was going to operate under the assumption that the odds of either of them even reaching the regional final where they'd meet, let alone both of them doing so, were small enough that it didn't matter if they were in the same region. That sort of consideration is generally reserved for higher seeds, from 1 to around 6 or so. Frankly, that seems reasonable to me. It's not like they put 8 seed UK in the same bracket as 1 seed UF.

The SEC has 3 teams with 2 in the same bracket
The AAC has 4 teams with 3 in the same bracket
B E has 4 teams in 3 brackets (Villanova and Providence were both in east, and none went to the south)
B1G has 6 teams in 4 brackets
ACC has 6 teams in 3 brackets (they did not send 1 ACC team west yet they sent American University out west)
PAC has 6 teams in 3 brackets (they did not send 1 PAC team east yet they sent Iowa State and Milwaukee up east)
B12 has 7 teams that got spread across 4 brackets
A10 has 6 teams in 3 brackets (they did not send 1 A10 team west yet they sent American University out west)
In the past you generally got 1 in every bracket until you got past 4 and they had to put a second conference team in the same bracket. If you do not think they stiffed the AAC and SEC this year by teams in and seeding you are new to the NCAA tournament.
AAC got stiffed the worst as with 4 (and all have past basketball street cred - Cincinnati (2 NC's / 6 FF's) Louisville (3 NC's / 10 FF's) Connecticut (3 NC's / 4 FF's), and Memphis (0 NC's / 3 FF's) teams in, 3 (#5 Cincinnati, #7 Connecticut, and #8 Memphis) all were placed in the East! Louisville is the defending NC and has a solid team this year, yet they were seeded #4 just so they could play Kentucky before either reached the Final Four. Do you really not see this?
Kentucky and Louisville are both the past NCAA winners yet they got the toughest bracket and only 1 team can reach the Final Four. Could it be possible the chairman (Ron Wellman of Wake Forest in the ACC) protected some conferences and punished others?

With the SEC taking such crap for being bad top to bottom (except Florida), it's nice to see this run. Hope it continues for a while. If they can win all the titles, that would be great!
