It's not only that but it's the talent in the south. There are far more black people in the south and it's been scientifically proven that they are physically superior athletically to other races due to their tendon structure. When you have a larger pool of athletically superior recruits it doesn't hurt. Then you factor in your point about sec schools just going the extra mile that the other schools do not, not to mention the ridiculous fan support, and you have a superior product.

I know downvotes might not mean shite on this site, but OP has the biggest downvote/upvote ratio I've seen.

Actually, it's muscle and bone density. The studies show that the fattest men tend to be white and the fattest women tend to be hispanic, while the fittest men and women both tend to be black.

I always read that it was mainly due to the tendon structure in their legs but I can believe that there are multiple contributors to it. It is evolutionary effects from centuries of slave breeding. Guess it's God's way of saying, hey, sorry bout that, here's a fruitcake for your trouble.

I do think it is fair to say the the Big 12 is the weakest it has ever been.
Sure you can when you factor in the loss of Texas A&M and Mizzou.

And Nebraska and Colorado. Keep in mind three teams(combined with A&M) that actually won the conference in its 16 year existence, and now you have the Baylors of the world winning it.

Exactly, so yes it is the weakest it has ever been.
Poor Colorado has lost its mojo for a while.

I get that Baylor has a lot of shite going for them right now, but if they are the premiere team in your conference, you're not a strong conference.

Still a good addition for the Pac 12, even if they are middling. Any state flagship institution(for the most part not your West Virginias of the world) is a good addition. Why people shite all over the Mizzou add I think comes from the same ignorant line of thinking that thought TCU was an upgrade over Texas A&M. It's just pure idiocy.

You know nothing about college football, do you?

50 down votes should be a permaban.

to all that replied thank you for your input. but the fact remains 2 middle of the road big12 teams came into the big bad sec and beat 4 of the big 6 FLORIDA, AUBURN, ALABAMA, AND GEORGIA.
Bowl games are overrated, hell you get a month to prepare. put any of the sec big six (uf,uga, usc, lsu, bama and aubie) in the big12 they will lose at least 2-3 games. Its a whole different ball game when you have to prepare week to week for the big12 spread teams. We will find out one day when the ncaa wakes up and put in a real 12 or 16 team playoff.
mizzou has beaten every team in the east not named usc.
tamu has beaten everyone in the west not named LSU.
thank goodness the sec didn't invite ou or texas to the big bad sec, it may have been a ou vs texas sec final this year..

Texas HS Football State Championship Game Attendance:
54,347
"Big 12 Championship" between Texas and Baylor Attendance:
51,728
THE CLASS OF YOUR CONFERENCE CAN'T EVEN OUTDRAW A HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME

MiZzou and tamu was suppose to be bottom dwellers, but thanks to uf,aub, uga and bama they have proven the SEC is highly overrated...
Free hint: You don't get an invite if we don't think you can compete.
Bonus hint: It's year 2. Experience not only matters it also helps as did the windfall of cash they got out of the whole deal.
Super Bonus Hint: Jealousy that you're school didn't get picked (whatever the hell that school is) doesn't become you.
