How did 2 avg big12 football teams come in to the Mighty Sec and win so quickly?
The same way that the worst program in the 16 year history of the Big 12, the same program that got no more than 2 wins in conference in any one season until 2010, is now their conference champion.

After leaving the (mediocre ) big 12 Mizzou & Texas a&m has came into the SEC and put up 11 wins beating the top of the SEC in only 2 years. Mizzou almost won the SEC title, let that sink in a moment. MIZZOU ALMOST WON THE SEC!!
How did 2 avg big12 football teams come in to the Mighty Sec and win so quickly?
The answer is simple the SEC isn't all that mighty. The SEC has good teams and avg teams just like every other conference in america. Mizzou and Texas a&m are avg teams and they came in and kicked the all mighty SEC in the teeth.
SEC east............and a Heisman winner /thread

Texas A&M finished tied for fifth in the SEC in 2012 and seventh in the SEC in 2013.
Missouri finished tied for tenth in the SEC in 2012 and third in the SEC in 2013.
They're averaging 6 and 7 in the SEC over their time in the conference so far.
Child please

Well Texas A&M 2011 was a very talented team, had double digit leads in 12 of 13 games, but due to poor play calling and leadership, gave up probably the most number of double digit leads in the history of college football. The following year, a lot of the talent carried over(stacked offensive line and a very senior laden defense), and then mix in the GOAT at QB, you end up with.... 3rd in the SEC West. 3rd in the SEC West absolutely CRUSHED the Big 12 CHAMPIONS.
Mizzou on the other hand is just a solid solid team, that beat up on the worst Florida team in 50 years(literally), Vanderbilt, Kentucky, eeked out a win against a terrible UT team and had a solid win against an injury depleted Georgia.
Other than that, The Big 12 still sucks and the SEC is the GOAT conference and always will be.

I do think it is fair to say the the Big 12 is the weakest it has ever been.

When the SEC is down, we go 5-4 in bowl games.

CFB teams are grown yearly during the football seasons themselves. Like in real life you can't buy, speedup, or cheat experience. Experience is earned overtime and shapes things into what they're capable of or what they know. With CFB you can go back a few years because Juniors & Seniors, but even what those Juniors/Seniors experience during one SEC season is priceless for their development.
Missouri's playing two years of SEC grind has forced them to get better or sink. They've put in the work needed to compete and have gain useful experience playing in the SEC. With 6-9 SEC programs capable of putting together Championship quality teams any given year. That prepares you and keeps the drive going with SEC programs across-the-board. Ohio St. doesn't grow into the needed Chamionship levels because they don't have too. They can go 75% and win the Big10 these days, and hope to avoid a legit team in Title game.....

I've heard every argument under the sun about how SEC dominance is mythical, how it is only due to certain factors, how it will go away, how it's only due to one or two coaches, everything you can imagine.
I harbor back to resources. The SEC puts the most money in to their product. Which gets them the best stadiums, the best facilities, the best the best coaches, and most importantly the best players.
The implication for people like Sooner fans and teasip fans is that their is an institutional advantage that exists outside their control, and the premise terrifies them. They absolutely reject it at all costs because it hurts them at their very core.
