The difference is men that go to games in the South aren't wearing uniforms like they play on the team. That's what little boys and girls do. You don't see grown women dressing like the cheerleaders (old men at LSU do this but that's not my point) so why are fans wearing the actual uniform?

You see people wearing jerseys at every school across the nation. Including the south

Besides A&M; I don't.

Did I say it doesn't happen at every school? It certainly isn't to the degree in the South that it seems to be up in B1G country

I've seen people wearing Manning jerseys at every game I've been to in Oxford (around 12)
Your point is pretty invalid

Some kids, some 30+ years old

Take some pics when you come this year; I've never seen anyone besides kids wear em.

Playing dress-up is fun but isn't practical and is pretty uncomfortable, especially in the south. I would wear neither a bowtie nor overalls to a game. Neither is practical.
I am a khaki shorts and polo person when weather permits. When it doesn't, I'm a whatever keeps me warm/dry/comfortable but still conveys my lower-upper middle class white male place in society, without looking like a try-hard douche. I won't wear camo to a game, but I'm not putting on a faggy peacoat or "heritage sweater' either.
I probably haven't worn jeans in a few months. I only have a couple pair.

Of course! Almost have the cut, copy, and paste down. Still struggling with right/left click.

I wish I could use photoshop
Better yet, I wish we would have had another great baseball game to watch today

Did we just become best friends?
I do have a peacoat, but I wear it when it is cold and only when I'm professionally dressed, of course.

Fashion buddies!
Oh.....but you own a peacoat.
Its ok, I used to own a wool trench, which in the south is the middle management equivalent of try hard douche-wear. Hey, let me put on this wool trench like folks in Chicago or NYC wear (I watch TV!), then carry it home once the temperature gets above 45 degrees (which it almost always does).

Sarge, that was a hell of a series. Two good teams head to head. All 3 games could have gone either way. Props to the Aggie team.

I live in a fashion forward town and am (on my way to being) in a fashion forward profession so a heavy, wool coat was necessary. My dad bought it for me and he spent some decent chedda on it.
It isn't gaudy. That's not cool.

Well, if both can hold together...maybe Omaha? A lot can happen, though, but both have the tools to get there.
