Myles is already up to 260, and he's still only a true freshmen. Can here play OLBer? Sure he runs a 4.5! But he won't be moving to OLBer in any 4-3, ever.

You're right. He'll be moved to OLB in a 3-4.

He could play it, that's for sure. But I highly suspect he's a 4-3 DE for the rest of his career. He's be 275 in a few years.

(The NFL average for Rush DE is 266).

If he can put on that much weight and not lose a step he will stay at DE.

the looks like Tarzan plays like Jane tag will be comfortable by his side. Guy can't get to the Qb against real competition. It won't get any easier for him in the NFL, plus he has little to no coverage experience which again goes back to him being one dimensional.

He's still a true Freshmen. It's almost a certainty he'll gain at least 10 pounds, and he's already at 260. And, even if he loses a step, he runs a 4.5. The dude is a freak. SEC teams started game planning him, and his numbers went down. Might be harder to double Myles when Mack is inside.

Mack will be a true freshman. The fact you think he will be eating up double teams is hilarious.

We just saw how Garrett got handled by SEC offensive linemen, I believe mack is headed down the same path

Good point. True freshmen, even great true freshmen, have trouble when they get doubled. I should try and remember that next time.

More like true freshman don't get doubled. It takes time to learn how to play DT in the SEC.

The fact so many of you are expecting Mack to come in and dominate is telling of how little you actually know about the sport.

ETA: Though I should have known you were ignorant when you started talking about Garrett getting double teamed. He was getting worked one-on-one in conference for the whole season.

Any Auburn quarterback under Gus. Their star QBs have to change position just to have a prayer of getting a sniff by the league.

This has to be the dumbest post in this thread

Gus has only had two "star" QBs, really only one. He was Cam Newton, won the Heisman, first overall pick, pro bowler who broke tons of rookie records and is consistently leading his team to the playoffs

Marshall is hardly considered a star and is reverting back to his natural position

Jeremy Johnson will be a star and go in the first two rounds

I'll say Derek Barnett from Tennessee. He's a good defensive end, but not as good as his 10 sacks as a true freshman suggests. Pretty good bullrusher, speed and agility are average and at times he struggles to contain the edge on running plays. He's pretty good, but not as good as his PR right now, IMO.

This is just 'tarded. You should feel bad for this.

You guys are brilliant. Really. I said that it might be harder to double Garrett next year with Mack inside, and you translate that to "Mack is going to dominate." Seriously. You're like a MENSA level genius.

Clearly, Garrett sucks donkey balls and is like a little girl next to whoever the hell plays Rush DE under Kevin Steele. I'm glad you geniuses are here to teach me the game.

I'd bet money that Khalil McKenzie will be doubled this season.

Glad you're willing to learn about defense from a team that actually emphasizes it

Saying Mack is going to make it harder to double Garrett means you think he's going to be attracting a lot of doubles himself, which is ridiculous. When DTs attract double teams, it means they are a dominant force in the middle. That's how football works.

The fact you don't even comprehend what you're implying is funny.

I don't think SEC teams were game planning him. Your defense got lit up right out the gate when SEC play started.

You infer poorly. I implied nothing of the kind.

Saying Mack may help relieve Garrett of double teams implies that he's going to be taking them on himself. I inferred fine, you're just crawfishing.
