I grew up in Deville. You probably don't know where that is. But, if you do, no jokes please.

Thanks I actually found SEC Rant because of 'Saints Talk'
Even though my Ole Miss friends would kill me, I'm actually a big LSU fan too. As well as the SEC in general. But my top 2 college choices were Ole Miss and LSU. I grew up going to baseball camps at Alex Box and games at Death Valley. Dads family were/are LSU fans, moms family were/are Rebels. We lived in Miss and it made more sense financially to go to Ole Miss.
Back to the Saints though, I always have to come to, at least, 1 game a year and I was there against the Falcons after Katrina. Best game i've ever attended. Period. It meant soo much more than just a W in the win column. And i'm so happy it was against Atl. They had no idea what they were in for and it was GLORIOUS..
anyway.. Hotty Toddy and Geaux Saints.. (why dont I have that emoticon and how do I get it?

I have always been a Saints fan... They were who I watched on TV growing up... First NFL game I ever attended was in the Super Dome as well.... Archie Manning/Wesley Walls/Deuce.... Ole Miss has been really good to the Saints organization.

Grew up in west Alabama and the Saints since they were what the station in Meridian, MS carried. Started following when I was a kid and Archie was the QB. Hate the Falcons with a passion due to Big Ben in the late '70's and the '91 playoffs. Admit I got greedy in '09 when Bama and the Saints both won it all. Just wish my dad could've been around to see it but he died Thanksgiving weekend that year.

South Lamdmass is REALLY close to NO.
Just in case that wasn't mentioned already.

Grew up in the Houston area as an Oilers fan. When they left we didn't have a team for 6 years. Always hated the Cowboys and my hate for Bud Adams wouldn't let me become a Titans fan. Saints were the closest team to cheer for, plus my mom and most my family is from the Lafayette area and many are Saints fans. Still pull for the Saints, although I would call myself a bigger Texans fan.

I'm the opposite of the question in the OP and it is interesting getting to see the other side of things as a Niner fan since most Saints fans seem to hate the 49ers the way LSU fans hate Alabama and a lot of these are the same people.
I still don't like the 49ers from the old NFC West days. I don't really "hate" any team--just root wildly against the Falcons

Largest following of Saints fans outside S/SELA
Actually a lot of Louisiana transplants live there or have family there, and only an hour's drive or so
I vividly remember the season(not sure which) where we went 2-14, and we won a game against the Panthers in the dome with Jake Delhomme leading us to victory..It was so sad..but so, so sweet
