LSU TAF.. LSU TAF had to get approval from us to give our info to the LSU Foundation so they know who donates and who have $$$$$
LSU folks put A LOT into their facilities and athletic Dept. And built a damn Habitat over 1-2 mil for Mike's Cage.

Their endowment probably wasn't just handed to them by the government imho. They are probably still doing it the hard way- relying on contributions from alumni

We fought tooth and nail for our endowment, and we were only able to wrangle 1/3 away from the greedy sips. But that 1/3 is enough to keep our hair slick with oil for a long time.

What doesn't surprise me is how little SEC folks really know about A&M. All my family is SEC, and it took us joining and years of my explaining how we were not a little farm school.
