that is a VERY interesting map. Especially in regards to the way Mo is split.
What you all need to realize is it's not as an exact division as that map would make it appear. It's not like when you step north of I-70(the division line between KC-STL) it's a clear dichotomy.
The area in Mo known as "Little Dixie" is mostly in the blue region in the center of the state.

It pretty much bears out what most people already knew... most of the south is pretty much the same culturally speaking.

another good map..
shows why NC and Virginia are the natural SEC expansion targets, and oki is a (poor) third choice..

This story shows how sad Business Insider is.
The book was published in 2012, and made the internet rounds back then. But then some sorry excuse for a reporter at Business Insider needed to file a story so that he could jack off early from the office on a summer Friday so he regurgitates it. It then makes its way around the internet again being posted by people with short attention spans.

The size of the state means there is not a single cultural identity in Texas. In fact, I'd venture to say that east Texas is more culturally in line with the deep south than it is with west Texas.

all big cities are basically pockets of progressive-liberalism,, NO is no exception to this.

So? Louisiana is too. The southern part at least. Tidewater regions of Virginia and the Carolinas are culturally different than mid-Alabama.
