Maybe by helicopter. When's the last time you drove from Athens to Atlanta? It has changed.

You were not alive the last time the game was played in an ice storm in B- ham.

Atlanta is the closest major city to the most SEC schools, has tons of hotels, and easy flights from anywhere. That's why game will stay there.

Doesn't have a domed stadium. ATL does.

True. That's not what he stated in his post though.

Damn you are right. Adding tamu and mizzou changed this (but not by much). Knoxville and Starksville distances to either are almost identical.

They will get very little interest in any of those cities. How many SEC Schools are located in a City with a population of more than 500K ? The SEC appeals to rural America and the urban areas are more concerned with the NFL. It needs to stay in Birmingham, but it needs to move out of Hoover.

I think Auburn is closer to downtown Atlanta, than is Athens. I know it is closer to Hartsfield than Athens is. Very close either way.

How many SEC fanbases call cities of more than 500k home? How many cities of more than 500k are in traditional Dixie?

How about rotating host cities for the damn sec championship game too? It would be frickin awesome to have it in NOLA at the superdome one year and maybe have it in houston or nashville the next at their nfl stadiums. shite, I just realized that only about half of the states in the sec have nfl teams and venues that would be suitable enough for an event of that magnitude. It's not like they're gonna play the sec champ game in jackson at jsu's stadium lol, what a dump mississippi is. It is gonna be nice at the new stadium in atl, I just think it would be pretty awesome to spread it around and alternate.

Lol, Nashville is full of SEC fans. Go checkout TV market ratings for SEC games and get back to me.

Go figure what?Da fuk does having media days and the HQ
in B'ham have to do with where the SECC game is played?

You really want to compare Legion field to the new MLB
facilty? Not gonna leave Atl for at least 10 years.

The HQ and media days both need to moved to Atl BTW.
Next to the CFB HOF would be perfect.

It isn't a fan driven event. Who cares if it rotates cities. It is strange to see fans show up to the hotel lobby for SEC Media Days (Roll Tide?).

If the SEC Commissioner really wanted to do something for the fans, he'd rotate the SEC Baseball Tournament.

No kidding. Would love to see it hosted here in Louisville. The ACC Tournament went really, really smooth here and Slugger Field (and the area) is more than capable of accommodating the fans.

SEC media days need to stay where they are. Dallas and Houston are both hotter than hell in July. It would insane to move them to either location in July.
