Can you read your own post? You talked about basketball.

If you want to talk football, when was the last time Texas beat LSU in football? When did LSU last beat Texas?

You got early onset alzheimers? I brought up Texas beating LSU in basketball, you then discredited "big 6" being associated with basketball, insinuating that football is the only sport that counts. Thus what brought the topic back to football.

Considering both teams have only played twice in the last 25 years in football, I'd say that point is moot (split games 1-1). Now if you wanna expand that, the all time record favors Texas 9-8.

Not sure you understand the historical big 6. Basically, only a few teams in the conference are programs capable of winning championships. Ole Miss is not one of them and Missouri

Until Texas and OU prove their worth with an SEC schedule , you don’t belong.

It’s an odd history but Texas has always played better against SEC teams than the now defunct PAC. I knew we were in trouble when we got UW in the draw.

In summary, I think we’ll be ok in the SEC.

If you don’t think the SEC is a better conference than the Big12, then why is Texas joining?

You dont join big six status until you win in atlanta consistently.

For some they may never get the opportunity if title game goes away. Then the big six is retired as legends of the sec. Sorry anyone who didn't get in

SEC Big 6

This has only been discussed on this board only 20 times minimum.

The Big 6 is an exclusive club. Entrance is very simple. Win an SEC Championship in Football. Until you do you aren’t in the club.

Big 6
Alabama
LSU
Georgia
Florida
Auburn
Tennessee

Since the mid 60’s, these are the only 6 teams to win an SEC Championship in Football.

By this logic then Arkansas should be in the conversation with texas and okie since we won SWC titles and a natty as well.

But this designation goes to SEC championships and natties while playing in THIS conference.

And texas claiming an SEC title while not playing in the conference is, well, just damn stupid. I wish they had played our road schedule this year, we wouldn’t be having this discussion.

lsu, aggie, ole miss and bama in consecutive weeks on the road. They lose at least 3.

auburn desperately clinging to their short lived glory years they only achieve every 10 years or so only to sink into the abyss. Trying to act like they ever achieved any long-term success.

One can easily be accepted in by winning the SEC. Until then, nope

This really is the only acceptable answer.

Gotta earn entrance.
