Temple made the A10 a relevant conference.

They had 17 trips to the tournament under John Chaney and 5 Elite Eight appearances. No title like most everyone else up there but they were extremely consistent for a program in a non-power conference like the A10.

Arkansas is tied with UConn, Temple, and Marquette at 12th.

Just think if we didn't have to endure the Heath/pelphrey years.

Yeah, Anderson is a solid coach. He and Jones have a scary similar first three seasons at LSU and Arkansas. Like Arkansas had in year 4, LSU will finally have depth in year 4 under Jones.

I thought it was a given Qualls was coming back. that'd be a big setback to "the process" if both left. LSU is in a similar dilemma with Martin and Mickey. Mickey would be wise to come back, but his body language seems to imply he's gone

Villanova being that high up is probably the most surprising thing to me on that list.
Not to me; I remember Villanova as being a major player in the formation of the Big East back in the early 80's. Yes, you had Georgetown and Syracuse, and St Johns and UConn would come and go, but Villanova always seemed to hang around the 20 win mark and get in.

I remember Arkansas also, always a strong team (this going back to the SWC days with Eddie Sutton).

Note- I just checked Wikipedia, and confirmed- both teams seemed to make the tourney almost every season from the late 70's onward.

Dale Brown had built LSU into this type of team, but the Lester Earl disaster broke all that; since then, we've only had spurts.
