Why do some fans of teams want their coach fired when their team has little to no history of basketball success. Tough to build a dominant program in basketball especially when it is probably the 3rd most cared about sport on your campus.

I have seen threads of us, LSU, Ole Miss, and A&M wanting their basketball coach fired. On the bubble or in the tournament should get all these coaches at these schools a contract extension.

Sorry, I forgot that LSU has won the state championship for the past 50 years.

But sure let me hear about Shaq, Chris Jackson, Pete Maravich, Big Baby....I mean national success as a program on a year in and year out basis. Like actually a relevant team in the eyes of college basketball on a year in and year out basis.

Billy Kennedy inherited a program that had been to the NCAA tournament 6 straight years.

5 years later, he hasn't made the dance. The most talented team in A&M history is about to miss the tournament because of how much of a colossal failure he is as a coach.

His career win pct is .548 (300-247)

His win pct at A&M is .567 (89-68), .440 (37-47) in conference play

By comparison, here were his two predecessors:

Billy Gillispie: 70-26 (.729), 31-17 (.646) in conference

Mark Turgeon: 97-40 (.708), 38-26 (.593) in conference

Billy Kennedy has to win one more conference game (in year 5) to TIE the number of conference wins his predecessor had after FOUR seasons.

LSU is tied with Miss State for 2ND with most SEC titles. Although we have won more tourneys than LSU. You have just one.

Probably the one who hasn't won a conference title in 30 years and is about to miss the dance for the 5th straight year.

Pretty sure no SEC basketball program has reached the lows of Northwestern basketball.

Well for LSU basketball to be the 3rd sport, they have done more with basketball than most SEC schools. I would say LSU has done more with basketball than Kentucky has done with football!!!Other fan bases in the SEC troll JJ a lot more than LSU fans do.

but kentucky has done more with basketball than lsu has done with football

im not sure what the point is of any of that, but just saying. lsu is currently the third best program in the sec, which is solid.

Since 2000 we've won the SEC three times and been to the Final Four.Thats not Duke or Michigan State but it's night and day better than Georgia.

The Aggie is melting. Talked a bunch of shite when they were winning, then when they go in a slide, he gets rustled. Ignore him.
