Really going out in a limb with that prediction.

Same with Arkansas. If Knight and Stephan can get their shite together after the last two weekends, Arkansas could be in a position to take all three on Sunday.

Not so sure about UF. Ole Miss can pitch and I like their chances at possibly taking the series from the Gators.

I expect Auburn to get the sweep, but weird shite happens in rivalry series sometimes. Not saying Bama will win series, but wouldn't be surprised if they snuck a game out of it.

Could be a soggy series in Knoxville.
Rain in the forecast all 3 days, starting about game time tonight.

Haven't we had enough rain already?

Even if we sweep there is a good chance our RPI drops or doesn't move. fricking Bama

If we lose one our RPI will surely drop

A&M's won the last 3 series over MSU including 7 if the last 8 match ups. We may just have to keep it rolling.

don't really understand how Auburn's RPI is so low even though we've won series over 3 of the 5 teams rated ahead of us.

he really is, only because Florida will struggle to win the series, much less sweep. I think Ole Miss takes 2 of 3, because florida isn't a better team.

Looking at it, Auburn's avg RPI win is 109, loss is 82 where say UF and UK's 73/39 & 99/38. It appears Auburn is being punished for losing to George Washington, Samford, Lipscomb, Presbyterian, Georgia, & Troy.

A&M's problem playing too many terrible (not just bad but flat out shite) teams outside the top 200. The results would be similar vs teams in the 150s yet the RPI would be much higher.

Is there to get data for say the last decade to see if this is some sort of record for an SEC team?

Yea. Games against teams rated 101 or higher in RPI

Auburn: 24(18 games against RPI 176 or higher)
Kentucky: 13
Florida: 10
LSU: 18
State: 14
Arkansas: 19

Then you can also look at Road OOC games as well. No road OOC games against any top 50 teams. Mainly though, only one road OOC quality game all season and thats #54 Ga Tech.

Scheduling is whats holding AU RPI numbers down.

Auburn's SOS is 32nd, 4 of the 5 teams you mentioned have SOS in the top 16 (Arkansas' is 43) so that probably has something to do with it. Of course the RPI margin between Auburn-State-Arkansas is slim anyway.

State swept them and dropped 3 spots.

Playing Bama is like spraying RoundUp on your RPI

don't be a millennial and think its cool to post a meme instead of refuting my claim. ive browsed the sec team stats and see no obvious stats that tells me Florida is a better team, unless its the 2 game lead in the conference standings you currently enjoy. that slim lead will be cut by at least a game this weekend, btw.

Better record with an RPI almost 6 times higher.
