I mean, 8th in the SEC is basically Top 15 in the nation. Don't see how that's too far out of line.

Switch Florida and Arkansas and it looks good

No one is winning 20 conference games this year.

I think Vandy is strong enough to win 20, but after hearing his comments last year I don't think Corbin will push for it.

Vanderbilt might.
The SEC West is going to be a bloodbath.

You don't really realize how good the SEC is in baseball until your team stumbles just a little bit. 1-2 off years, whether from injuries or bad luck recruiting, and a good/great baseball program will find itself at the very bottom of the league. EVERY program plays at such a high level. Kudos to all

I think Vandy and Florida will be right there. Both could easily sweep Kentucky and Missouri, which helps a lot.

Yea - and then you look at trying to claw your way back up and realize 21 of your 30 games are against Top 10 teams, 24 of 30 are against ranked teams and 30 of 30 are against prior year NCAA Tournament teams..............
And you get the sadz

Really glad poor Vandy and Florida get 9 games against UK/Mizzou/Tennessee while powerhouse Alabama gets 0.
VERY AWESOME

I'm willing to bet right now that Mizzou won't lose one single game in the postseason.

I get it, we’re still rebuilding but we’re still college baseball royalty and a Super is a disappointment to most Gamecocks fans.
Only LSU fans understand where we’re coming from as fans. It’s Omaha or bust every single year.

LSU is learning talent isn't everything. Hopefully we can pull it together and make a good run in SEC. Something tells me it will start to click, we have too many veteran guys that have been through the gauntlet of SEC baseball.
I think LSU will play into form, they are loaded with talent. It might be a good thing to have struggled a bit in the early season... it teaches the players to not believe the press clippings about how awesome they are.
I won't even try to predict the SEC West this year. I see quite a few teams that could not only win the West but win the CWS as well. We will likely have a team with the talent to make it to Omaha finish in the middle of the standings of the SEC West this year. That is just insane.

That happened last year in both divisions. South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Auburn, and Mississippi State all finished around the middle of their respective divisions. All played SEC teams in their Super Regionals, and all came within a win of the CWS. State was the only team to survive, and they made a nice run in Omaha.
You finish around .500 in this league, and you're a good team.

They might, but that will be no easy feat in the SEC this season. Florida won the conference with a 20-10 record last year and the next best was 18-12. It will be another season where everyone beats each other up imo.

so why would you put 15th in the nation in a second tier. With beating Clemson Liberty we're the only SEC team thats actually played a good team (Tier one and tier two wins in RPI) and you put teams in your artificial top tier with 0 of those. But i guess sweeping teams like Dayton and UMASS-Lowell is good enough.

Don't try to bring logic to a discussion.
