I don’t know why but I thought your ace was a 1st RD draft pick type of talent.

I'm thinking like 15th seed with a host due to attendance paired up with like Vandy for a Super. that's about what we deserve at the moment
You sounding like LSU fans in that all hope is lost lol. I hate to admit it but OM has talent and Bianco is a solid coach. It’s early and 5 weeks from now will not look like right now for anyone in the comference.

Tbh, with all the good teams, it’s anyones guess. Win a series head-to-head vs top dog and that might be the difference. This season will indeed be insane.

I’ve not seen anyone else play yet but I assume everyone in the league except Mizzou will be dangerous as usual.
With that said .... Gamecocks back in a Super AGAIN this season.
I have to lulz at the people in this thread who have us finishing below 7th, or even 8th, in this league. I get it, we’re still rebuilding but we’re still college baseball royalty and a Super is a disappointment to most Gamecocks fans.
Only LSU fans understand where we’re coming from as fans. It’s Omaha or bust every single year.

I think we're going to see a lot of surprises, with some of the lower teams being better than expected. For the record, I'm not talking about Arkansas, although I do think we'll be in the upper half.

Mizzou will win some series, everyone in this league has talent. Baseball in the Sec is a big deal.

Alabama may not be top 3 material but I think we're better than people are assuming.

This sort of start against meh OOC teams has happened quite a few times before and crashed and burned.
I honestly don't know if we're good or not.

I haven't kept up with the other teams to comment on the rankings other than to say A&M has Tier 1 pitching but unfortunately the hitting is more like Tier 4.
Childress seems to be on his last leg as HC. I heard he's been put on notice by the AD.

Ole Miss is playing like a regional 2 seed right now. If our starting pitching doesn’t improve we will probably finish 3rd or 4th in the west behind Ark/LSU/MSU and finish with 17ish SEC wins.
The good thing is our hitting will keep us in pretty much every game.

LSU is learning talent isn't everything. Hopefully we can pull it together and make a good run in SEC. Something tells me it will start to click, we have too many veteran guys that have been through the gauntlet of SEC baseball.
Good luck this year fellas.

Yea I would have LSU at 7 right now with no arguments. They haven't played a complete game it seems like this whole season, they have the talent but it hasn't come together yet.
Posted on 3/13/19 at 7:14 am to SummerOfGeorge
LSU is still going to win 20+ SEC games

The start by Marceaux was good yesterday and Hilliard’s appearance was good as well. The bats however look like shite!

I really don't know what Ochinko is doing but there seems to be no approach outside of when Reid is hitting.
