he was a solid receiver known for crucial drops in big games. i pay close attention to uga. when someone says his name, the drops are frequently mentioned.

Actually, only one drop is mentioned. And it was quite honestly the only blemish on an otherwise stellar career. Just so happens it came in the one game we lost during a 13-1 season (in which both Miami and tOSU both went undefeated so it may not have even mattered).

I guess they don't count any of the expansion teams before they joined. I know that Lester Hayes from A&M and Steve Atwater from Arkansas are better than any of the DB's listed. Peterson and Berry are close but not quite.

im not saying he sucked. he has very solid career numbers.

Terry Hoage was a 2x Consensus All-American, had 12 interceptions in his Junior year alone, and finished 5th in Heisman voting as a Senior in 1983 (the highest ever finish for a defensive back to that point). Vince Dooley called him the best defensive player he has ever seen or coached. Also doesn't hurt that he finished with a 3.85 GPA and a Genetics degree.
Jake Scott played his freshman and sophomore years at UGA before jumping to the Canadian Football league. In that time, he posted 16 career interceptions and 315 INT return yards, both UGA records. He later would become the Super Bowl MVP for the undefeated Miami Dolphins team.
Both players are in the CFB Hall of Fame.

I can't think of any other players off the top of my head that are in both the College football and the NFL hall of fame, but didn't make this list.

Both Willis and Biscuit have legit claims to the GOAT SEC LB title.
The most legitimate claim is another Bama great: Derrick (motherfricking) Thomas. 27 sacks in one goddamn year, 52 in his career.
Ol' Lee Roy had 31 (31!) tackles against Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma, too. That is absurd, especially given the glacial pace of the game at the time.

All-time, the QBs.

There have been some pretty good Tight Ends in the SEC...it's a shame that they don't list the position.

Mark Barron had a ridiculous career at Alabama too and could be a replacement for Carlos Rogers, perhaps (nothing against Carlos Rogers, for the record).
First off, Carlos Rogers was a CB and Barron was a S.
Secondly...

Alabama would have at least 3. John Hannah, Dwight Stephenson, and Barret Jones.
Maybe more. I don't see any way to leave off Chris Samuels or Andre Smith. Chance Warmack would have an argument too.
Hate they didn't include OL, but that very well could have been the reason why

Hannah is the GOAT of any line position.

Only player more overrated in UGA history than the ex steroid junky Pollack, was his butt buddy something Greene that played QB. That dude is so forgettable I can't even remember his first name. Who cares about these UGA underachievers?

For sure. Lee Roy and DT are some of tGOATs in the pantheon of SEC LBs.
One name we keep forgetting? Jake Holland, tGOAT of GOATs.

GTFO. Derrick Thomas is the GOAT in college football

Pretty good job, brah. 5.531/10.00
However, there is no doubt that David Pollack is one of the greatest defensive lineman in SEC history.
