Who is Burton Fowles? Googled him and it says he's a real estate broker. Is he a part time writer for Scout or something?

You're right that it isn't a straight up contest, but no reason to get petty about it. They knew they would have to offer something more prominent schools wouldn't, so perhaps they did so.

Also, one of our writers has already commented that he highly doubts this is true.
Again, it very well could be true, but there is a lot of weirdness about this story right now
