Your thesis at the top is accurate enough, but your conclusions are highly questionable.

Geez dude, are you really that Bama obsessed?

Georgia only claims 2 (1942 and 1980) but they are certainly due a 3rd for a new generation of Dawg fans.

Georgia now claims 5. Many of our rivals do that now. Auburn late to the game.

The school "officially" claims 2, but if you coutn them the way practically every other school does (like bama) we have the 5 that I mentioned.

The school still only recognizes 2. We have 2 flags flying in the stadium. Those other 3 have always been noted and in our media guide in some form.

no one has done it in baseball. Only LSU has done it with more than one coach.

Much like LSU, who could claim as many as 7 or 8, the school only claims 3. The NCAA actually recognizes 4, including 1908.

3 is such an arbitrary number.
Why not 2, 4, 5, or 6 even?
And are we just talking SEC here? No PAC12 or B1G schools allowed?

probably because a lot of schools have won national titles with 2 coaches. Much fewer have done it with 3 or more

I know that SoCal has won more than three national championship in both baseball and football with at least three different coaches.
Off the top of my head, in baseball:
Sam Barry-Dedeaux
Rod Dedeaux
(would have made a great LSU name)
Mike Gillespie
In football:
Jones
McKay
Robinson
Carroll
I'm thinking Michigan did it in football as well.
Yost
Kipke
Crisler
Oosterbaan
Carr
Texas baseball:
Falk
Gustafson
Garrido

Not really, 2 would be a long list, but 3 or more seems to drop the list greatly

As I said in the OP it is any Big 5 type school. While Notre Dame is not officially in the ACC they would still pass the eye test of playing sports at the top level of competition.
