Notre Dame has strict admission standards that Brian Kelly has beat his head into a wall trying to get loosened. It's also located up north and doesn't have a natural recruiting base outside of Chicago.
Notre Dame is not a dream job for everyone. USC, Texas, Alabama and Ohio State are all better jobs just based on recruiting territory. If the state of Florida wasn't home to Florida AND Florida State, you could make the argument one of those jobs is a better job than Notre Dame.

LSU is a Top 10 Head Coaching destination, period.
I actually would put it in the top 10.

LSU is probably a top 10 job, but not a top-five job. In the SEC, it's a better job than any other job than Alabama, Georgia and Florida, though the Gators need to upgrade those facilities.

Lynn Swann will throw USC's considerable bank account at Herman.
LA or Baton Rouge,Louisiana?

LSU is a better job than ND and Texas, since the mid 2000's.

They have 9 players on their roster just from Florida. Eight from Georgia. Ten from California.

Actually Arkansas owns part of Louisiana lately, just like College Station owns Fayetteville. It's a funny thing, this pattern of winning in the Ess Aye Say.

From a recruiting standpoint, LSU is a better job than Georgia and Florida.

If LSU wanted Tennessee's Coach (which we don't) we could hire him away from you.
What idiot would leave a multi million dollar per year job in Knoxville to move to Baton Rouge?

Why does everyone seem to think USCw and ND are in the market?
Clay Helton is in his first season. Barring serious misbehavior, coaches don't get fired during or after their first season.
ND just gave Brian Kelly a 6 year extension at the end of January.

Lots of them. Most just aren't looking for a coach.
