This would insinuate that we were a far superior

team and just didn't play well, which is not the

case I thing both teams played very well and each

team would split if they played 10 times no matter

where the hell its play albeit Tuscaloosa, Baton

Rouge, or London, England at Wimbley Stadium

These losses are not even close to similar

The wins aren't either...compared to the other team. And the next post is based entirely on the assumption that Okie State beats OU.

The reason there is even a small debate is that the competing teams for the #2 slot do not have anything to compare. There is no head to head. So they go to schedule. Yes, Alabama is dominant in its wins. Yes, Alabama lost to #1 in OT at home. And based on overall talent, we all assume Bama is the second best.

But just take a glance at Okie State. They have similar margins of victory against a more competitive (according to computers) schedule. The loss to Iowa State on the road in 2 OT is awful. But they do have quality wins whether we believe it or not.

It is a long shot at best that Okie State gets in. But there are games to be played. Let's see how they turn out before declaring or eliminating any teams.

dude we aren't saying you aren't the second best or not the best challenge....we're saying you had your chance and missed out. somebody else should get a shot.

If the roles were reversed I could see it playing out like this because we "weren't supposed" to win that game since it was at your house.

y'all choked and should suffer the consequences

exactly! I agree wholeheartedly. and that's what is unfair, IMO. LSU won when it mattered (or at least should have ultimately mattered) but now Bama gets a mulligan. and this time there's no doubt it is for all the marbles.

Kinda the whole point of the NCG. Putting the 2 best teams against each other. I think LSU just wants a cupcake.

Option A) Rip the pokes for 50 plus while holding them to under 10, making all the pundits who have stated that the SEC doesn't play offense go into hiding. Hoist crystal ball while jumping around and screaming as the crowd chants SEC SEC SEC...

Option B) Get into another dogfight with Bama. Hoist crystal ball with one remaining good arm.

We ain't scared, we just thought we'd get the same shake that the winner of the SEC has gotten for the last five years.

Actually, if Bama and UF in SECCG 09 had played a very tight game and there were no other major undefeateds, they probably would've rematched. Look it up.

As it turned out, it wasn't a tight game, Florida got destroyed, and Texas remained undefeated (barely).

You're not getting an unfair shake. You're just in a different situation. This is the way the chips have fallen.

Ah, I see you chose to ignore my post. Let me know if you decide you want to talk about something that doesn't go against your short-sighted preconceived notions.

I didn't think it was worth responding to. You won in the regular season, when it mattered in terms of regular season and conference wins. Your reward: The Division Title and potential SEC Title. Congratulations. It fricking sucks that we don't get that. You won the regular season and presumably the SEC. It's not a mulligan. You win the SEC, we don't.

But after that the regular season ends, and an entirely different entity takes control (the BCS) and it's time to take the 2 best teams and have them play each other. And we all know who those 2 teams are.

Agree. Bama second best team and that LSU has had time to improve with more reps by Jefferson. Think it will be good game but tigers win going away in 4th

OSU lost to weak team prob don't even beat OU this weekend

There's absolutely no way in hell an undefeated UT would have been left out of a title game.

I didn't say it wasn't fair, we're going to the dance one way or the other. Yet you boys can't tell me if the shoe was on the other foot you wouldn't want to play OSU over LSU for all the marbles.

It was torture but I lived up to my word.

It's going to be a great game bud. I hope I can have a beer in NOLA with some of the people off here.

Your post implied that if UF had kept it close they would have finished ranked higher than an undefeated Big-12 champion...

There's no way you can possibly assert that the score in that SECCG mattered, at all.

quite disingenuous for you to claim that Bama fans care about not winning the SEC. it's quite clear y'all are perfectly content with not having to play another game (and thus not having to risk losing or injuries) and get a do-over in the BCSNCG.

they already played. if you a person who wants a playoff system in CFB, then this should be forefront in your mindset.

Absurd for you to imply we don't want to win the SEC. If it's so unimportant, just forfeit it. LSU will still go to the SECNC. You know nothing about the SEC if you think we don't want to win it.

We'd be the #2 seed in the playoff because we're the 2nd best team

No other major undef... got it...

What I'm saying is that to that point, UT was not picked to lose that year or for the next ten. There was ZERO talk of a Bama-UF NCG.

of course you wanted to.. up until LSU butt fricked Arkansas last week and you realized that it was no longer an option for you. it's all over this board, has been for several days now. straight from Bama fans. they get to play in the BSC title game, and even though they didn't win the SEC, that's perfectly fine with them. i've seen numbers posters say that they're happy with having the extra time off and not having to risk losing a game or key players.

and you'd play the #1 team in the first round? lolz

question:

13-0 conference champs
11-1 2nd in their division
11-1 conference champs

what two teams deserve to go?
