Baylor rapes

UNC cheats

While nobody is probably clean it is totally crappy that the worst offenders to not get the worst penalties. Instead they are the most smug and self righteous which just makes the NCAA look more and more complicit.

bullshite.

They use Christianity as a cover so morons like you give them a free pass they shouldn't get. If anything YOU should be pissed at them for turning your religion into a branding bulletpoint for their institution.

They are exactly like a shitty rock band who decides to switch formats to Christian Rock just because there is less competition on that side of the record store.

I do like getting Texan opinions on this because I've heard for years from my buddies in college that Baylor is filled with hypocrites. I've never heard much about TCU

Can we put that aside and agree as Texans that Baylor is full of hypocritical pieces of shite?

The evidence is CLEAR. They have no valid defense. Yet they try to have one because the alternative is having a shitty football program.

What?

I didn't realize Baylor was trying to be like Notre Dame. That was news to me.

Lots of people perceive Notre Dame as a better school than most. If Baylor is trying to be like Notre Dame, then it stands to reason they're trying to be perceived as better than most.

People shouldn't care how others represent their religion because they can't control that. A person can only control being the best they can be.

I don't care how they misrepresent Christianity and the Baptist faith. Can't control that. Can only control my actions.

TCU isn't that different. They are comprised of the dumber students who couldn't get into UT, Rice, aggy, SMU, and Baylor.

As a part of their fraudulent, "Christian" aspect, they require you to take one religiously-themed class to graduate. Wow...a whopping 2 or 3 hour course for Texas "Christian" University.

Oh really? You don't care? You only care about your actions?

Well here is the rub genius- when places like Baylor run your religion though the mud for personal benefit it makes it harder for you to share your faith.

You don't live in a vacuum.

At least TCU doesn't pretend to be a super religious school like Baylor does.

So because life is hard we shouldn't ever call out people for doing things that might make our/others life harder or worse?

That isn't religion, that is nihilism.

There are also a decent amount of Catholics these days that aren't crazy with the modern Notre Dame as their "flagship" because of things that have gone on there as well.

Just because a University is trying to pimp itself as the academic flagship of a religion, that doesn't mean they're "doing better" when they're criminally misrepresenting that religion. The fact that you're trying to turn this into a "well they're just attacking a religious university" is silly when there are a lot of Baptists who are pissed about their representation.

People shouldn't care how others represent their religion because they can't control that. A person can only control being the best they can be.

This is a silly notion. Of course people should care if their religion is being exploited by a major organization. And Baptist who have provided a lot of resources to Baylor because of that (mis)representation absolutely can "control it".

And the reality is, Baylor benefits from public Title IX monies while exploiting women on their campus for the sake of their athletics while running as a Baptist institution that is supposed to be held to a higher moral code. People have a right to be pissed off about this when multiple public universities have been investigated and dragged through the mud for the same without that private university "protection".

Everyone is yanking your chain because that is what tRant does and we all know you'd be doing the same thing if the positions were reversed but NOBODY thinks you're anything like Baylor. They may actually be giving Penn State a run for their money and I never thought that would have been possible.

1. i'm pretty sure you don't think ALL christians are like this so, i'm not sure why you're painting with such a broad brush
2. it's possible that they're right and sinners are going to hell, even if the messengers are hypocrites
3. you seem to be attempting to vindicate "non-religious types" which is pretty ignorant

shite, I'd argue that they already did pre-Penn State.

quote:

While Baylor was reeling with the disappearance and death of Patrick Dennehy, Rouse secretly recorded a conversation with head coach, Dave Bliss. The conversation exposed Bliss' plan to paint Dennehy, the murder victim, as a drug dealer in order to cover up Bliss' NCAA-violating payment to Dennehy.

The tape, part of an NCAA investigation, threw acid on an already painful wound, marrying the devastating circumstances of a teammate-on-teammate murder with NCAA sanctions and a heinous act of self-preservation by a coach whose deceit decimated a basketball program and stained a university.

fricking criminal what happened after the fact as well....
