"He did very well in Knoxville". He was only there less than a full year or so & he had the NCAA's all over his arse. Had he stayed & continued with the same BS he was doing, UT would have been on probation within 2 seasons. As whacky as Al Davis was, he was dead on when he called LK the "biggest liar he'd ever met". That's who you want representing your university?

His team outperformed their perceived potential, I think. There were holes all over that roster, and he did very well to get us 7 wins.

No. We would rather have this mouth breather.

He didn't frick up three different coaching jobs. Lane Kiffin would win a National Championship at Georgia.

I still don't understand why he ever left Tennessee. It was a HUGE blessing in disguise for LSU and Les, because the idea of Frank Wilson and Ed O being at the same school, recruiting against LSU was the program's ultimate nightmare.

He left them in a lurch because he's an immature piece of shite. I agree with the nightmare scenario for LSU however. Wilson and Orge would hit south la with a vengence ala Florida State and Miami of the past. That is if he could have kept them all on staff.

Oakland is the most dysfunctional franchise in the league. Anyone who took the Oakland job at that time was destined to be fired.

10erc - Best season under Kiffin they have had in years but wasn't there long enough to really form an opinion.

USC - Sanction crippled so again hard to tell.

Frankly though I don't see anyone clamoring to give Kiffin another head coaching job right now at a big time program like USC or UT let alone the NFL. I could see him getting a getting another OC job in the NFL tho....he needs to learn from Saban about what it takes to be a CEO coach.
