I still contend that he did very well in Knoxville.

Yea, Kirby Smart. 35 points is more than enough to win a damn game.

You think Smart actually runs the defense?

Kiffin left Tennessee with a dumpster fire when he bolted. I feel like Kiffin still needs to mature as a coach before he can be trusted running things again.

It's like letting a teenager take the car on his own. Then he gets in a wreck. Well you take the keys away and only let them drive when you're in the car with them until they're matured enough to drive. Kiffin is still a teenager in terms of coaching.

Considering Bama, without a doubt, has the hardest schedule (thanks, Birmingham), I still feel very good going into the season.

Actually there is quite a bit of doubt in that. Bama plays some very good teams this year, that is true. They do, however, avoid the dreaded back to back road game curse. If they go on the road and get whipped then Bama gets to come back home and lick their wounds.

They also have a glorified scrimmage before the Iron Bowl to help get them healthy for the big game. The schedule is loaded yes, but it is set up in a very manageable way. Add to that Wisconsin seems to be imploding with injuries and Bama really shouldn't toot the "We have the worst schedule in college football" horn too loudly.

Hell he only lost to 08 NC winning Bama due to a blocked FG

I hope he is your HC. I would like Layla as my head coach.
Post more pics of Layla if you post a Kiffin thread

Of all the many disturbing characteristics of Bama fans, their bizarre compulsion to hero-worship every fricking coach they hire (until they get fired or quit w/o dying shortly thereafter) is perhaps the most distinctive.

kiffin is a prime example of someone who can excel at a coordinator's position but are in over their head as a HC. Some other great examples....

Honestly, I don't think it mattered, barring a miracle Bama wasn't winning that game-- give Meyer a month and anywhere near equal talent and he's just not beatable as a coach, hell that a month after the fact interview with Smart said as much-- they basically got lucky OSU self-destructed in the red zone early, then the offense tightened up and it was over.

Dear God,

Please, PLEASE, let his wish be granted.

Thanks.

Amen.

Yeah, well if Gene Chizik looked as much like Shug Jordan as Mike Shula did to Bear Bryant, maybe you'd understand.

Bama is going 9-3 this year. One of those losses is against the Swamp Kittens. Book it. Mark it. Take it to heart.

Been hearing this shite for so long now, you almost feel sorry for the sad sack saying it.

LOL!!!

I was in Tuscaloosa for Bama's last home loss, and wanted to strangle an old guy a who screamed those exact words 50+ times. He was right, but damn that was annoying as hell.

"He did very well in Knoxville". He was only there less than a full year or so & he had the NCAA's all over his arse. Had he stayed & continued with the same BS he was doing, UT would have been on probation within 2 seasons. As whacky as Al Davis was, he was dead on when he called LK the "biggest liar he'd ever met". That's who you want representing your university?
