Say goodbye to Ole Miss

Ole Miss’s season is over, so it’s time for their end of season farewell thread.
Summary
Ole Miss’s season got off to an excellent start, beating a Power 5 Texas Tech team 47-27.
Ole Miss picked up another win over Southern Illinois, and the 15-0 National Championship talk began.
It all came to an end when they played Alabama. After a 75 yard touchdown, Ole Miss got absolutely destroyed by Alabama 62-7.

Ole Miss rebounded and picked up a win against Kent St, then got crushed by LSU.
Ole Miss picked up two more wins, one against Louisiana Monroe and one in an incredible comeback against Arkansas.
It only got worse from there, as Ole Miss lost 5 straight games, including the egg bowl.
I’m pretty sure Ole Miss fans were all like:
Notable Departures
Jordan Ta’amu-
Jordan Ta’amu has a great season this year he was easily 1st in the SEC with 3918 passing yards. He also had 19 touchdowns on the year.
AJ Brown-
Although Brown is a junior, most expect him to declare for the NFL this year. Brown has had back to back seasons leading the SEC in receiving yards.
The Future
Ole Miss might be better next year, but they won’t go anywhere. The rebels have a 2-year bowl ban that ends next season. I expect Ole Miss to go 7-5 next year.
They will be back in 2019, but until then, say goodbye to Ole Miss.

Amazingly 0 of the 3918 yards were gained from downs inside the red zone. Same with the TDs.

Ole Miss' bowl ban is over after this year. They will also be worse next year. They lose their QB, their top 3 WRs (assuming Metcalf declares), and already have a dreadful defense. 7-5 is their absolute ceiling next year, with 5-7 or worse more likely

Tony Fein, an army vet, did the landshark hand gesture in their 2008 season. He later died of an accidental drug overdose (believe due to the meds he was prescribed for his PTSD). At some point down the road, Ole Miss adopted the landshark hand gesture on defense after big plays. When the black bear didn't work out, making the land shark their mascot was what they landed on. I don't know of any Ole Miss fan that doesn't hate it.
