I feel sorry for people that don't realize how much fun college baseball is. State of Georgia puts lots of kids into the pros, no reason UGA shouldn't be able to field a great team.

Ahh, the summer will soon be upon us and the Fulmer Cup will be in full swing. As usual, Auburn is the preseason favorite but I feel like Ogre's men will mount a stiff challenge this year.

This. The Cobb County system and the rest of the state is crawling with blue chip baseball prospects. Stricklin was great at Kent State but hasn't done a damn thing here. If he doesn't win the Super Regional next season, and I'm fairly certain he won't, he needs to go.

Honestly, I'd rather talk spring sports than football spring training because all the coaches are so guarded now that all the games are on TV. It's hard to tell what improvements are being made and who's stepping up. Even new coordinators keep it so vanilla in the Spring game that it's hard to get super excited about it...other than depth charts I guess.

Hell they don't even treat it like a game anymore. There was a day when it was used to put kids through a game type atmosphere and to see who wants to play. Now it's just another practice where you divide up the squad and work on the segment of the game you feel needs the most work.
I'll bet the Bama spring game looks like a Big XII air raid shootout between Texas Tech and Baylor since our passing game needs the most work. Nothing realistic about it.
