These threads are hilarious... Saban IS NOT LEAVING Alabama!! Forgive me for bringin logic to the rant, but what could Texas offer him that Alabama cannot? Money? Power? Prestige? Please someone give me a rational, logical answer..

Or she is about to leave his irritating a$$. She may be moving to Austin to find another up-and-coming coach to play Mr. Happy with.

Of course, this would put Saban into a depression and knock 'Bama out of any serious consideration for several years, until they are grudgingly accepted into Big 12 as a replacement for kU who returns to a challenging Mighty Mite schedule.

But, I could be reading too much into it. She might only be there for the sex.

I don't know why he'd ever leave the situation he's in at Alabama.

-Texas is a trainwreck.
-Saban is a legend at Alabama.
-He's getting a little old to go rebuild another program.
-He would be coaching in an inferior league against a lot of irrelevant teams (aside from Oklahoma, Okie Light, and maybe WVU some years).

A deterrent to most coaches, especially Saban.

Why exactly? More money for them to pay Saban and it has to help with recruiting.

You got that right, drought pic of Lake Travis:

My folks have a place on Lake LBJ, which is a constant level lake, for now anyway.

Meh, if Saban comes to tu, that'll just give me more reasons to hate them.

I know I'd be disappointed but not as butthurt as LSU fans. He's won 3 NCs and has us in the running for a 4th this year.
It'd suck but eventually he'll move on, retire, or die. One of those 3 must come true at some point or another.

The two situations are not really similar. He's not going to another team within your division in your conference.

On the surface, it doesn't make much sense to me either. But let's face it, Saban is a different cat. He seems to be the type that needs to re-invent himself every now & then to keep from hitting a slide. It happens with every coach who stays at one school for a long duration - Stoops, Brown, Urban, Slocum, Paterno, Bowden to name just a few.
