So damn Naive. $abun considers himself to be bigger than bama or any other school. (So does most everybody else) If he wants to leave he will. Dont know if he will or not but I can say he will put himself first as he always has.

Gumps make no mistake he does not consider himself to be "At home". So much for tradition at bama.

Once Peyton Manning is signed long term
Polian will make a run at him if Caldwell doesn't work out

Coach Saban will do whatever he wants and quite frankly has earned that right. He has already left his mark in Alabama history no matter what happens next year or 7 years from now. 2009 will NEVER be forgotten...and you opposing fans know that WE dont forget the past
Well I forget the past (doesnt mean i dont get chills watching old footage) but our fanbase as a whole does not....

All of the players are paid in the NFL, so that also takes away an advantage he has at Alabama

When did ya'll stop paying all the players?

since you are clearly proving yourself to be naive enough to think that only SOME schools pay their players then i guess it would do no good to tell you that WE'LL stop when everyone else stops :)

He is at bama till he retire's!!!He only left LSU for the NFL, and it was always known he wanted to coach as the head man in the NFL..It crushed alot of people that he left b/c he could walk on water in BR..Makes for a great game lsu vs bama year in and year out..He is a college football coach, and will be bama's man till he retire's period..and anyone that thinks different is stupid!!! HE IS GOD IN ALABAMA!!period....

I was actually saying that Bama pays players and no other schools do.

Except be a winning coach in the NFL. He's staying, he now knows his dicKtator act won't work in the NFL.

Why wouldn't he stay?

actually, I don't believe he knows this or even thinks this....in fact, he said the reason the Dolphins weren't awesome under him is because they didn't have a QB. He said they showed great improvement during his time there, especially on the defensive side of the ball. I'm pretty sure he's quite confident his dictator act can work just fine in the NFL. He just needs a decent QB.

he ran after the culpepper/brees fiasco....he knew miami was not recovering fast enough for his ego. He'll be a bit smarter in his next choice of NFL team. I think him having to watch the media fawn over Sean Payton and Drew Brees has killed him. From a national attention standpoint, a college football championship coach pales in comparison to an NFL championship coach. Just depends how big Lil Nicky's ego really is.

I kind of agree that he isn't going anywhere. I used to pray to 8 lb 6 ounce newborn baby Jesus that he would leave for another job but I've recently changed my approach and am now praying that he burns out and Bama hangs on to him like the Vols did the Great Pumpkin. This league has a tendency to burn out coaches and this will be Sabans 9th year as a HC in the SEC. From all reports Saban is a workaholic and coaching at LSU or Bama has got to be a serious grind even compared to the rest of the league so I give him one or 2 more years tops before he starts to fall off.

That same "punk" has punked the sec for the last couple of years. I think it's safe to say he isn't done either.
