Never been a ref, but if some hot headed coach came at me like that I'd toss some more laundry for unsportsmanlike conduct. If the coach then decided to throw a bigger tantrum, I'd toss them out the game. Seems simple to me. Why do the coaches get to act like complete arse-hats to the officials? The SEC needs to fine these coaches for their disturbing lack of self control.

So you think refs should just be able to get away with making the wrong call without anyone saying anything about it. Surprising coming from an LSU fan.

This is the butterfly effect for Bama.

This will start the great decline of Bama football.

This is just the begining.....

You dumbfricks are acting like he assaulted the ref. Have you ever watched football? Coaches get pissed at refs all the time. It is simple: if the ref does his job like he is supposed to, he wont get berated.

You can question a call without looking like a 2 year old throwing a tantrum.

No fricking thank you. I would much rather have a passionate coach that gets on the ref's arse than a coach that stands around with a deer in the headlights look.

Bama fans had enough of that before Saban.

Heart attack coming soon. He hasn't changed. He's like a little kid who can't get his way. Fits well there.

I didn't say anything about what is preferred. I can understand a coach trying to influence an official. I just don't know why the officials put up with it or why the league does. It is, honestly speeking, unsportsman like conduct.

Doesn't matter dude. Ref's usually give a sideline warning first. They didn't.

Not sure if you're following. I said if I was a ref I would throw out more laundry if a hot headed coach came at me like that. As in, not sure why coaches are ALLOWED to act like pissed off two year olds with a sailor's mouth.

If I was a coach, I'd try to influence the officials as well.

This is what the commissioner's office is for. Coaches get pissed at refs all the time, but there is no excuse for berating a person that can more affect the outcome of a game and who has a tough job as is. Besides one day Saban is going to pop off to the wrong official and get tossed out of a game.

Where in the rule book does it specify that a ref has to give a warning first??? Who is to say they didn't warn them earlier. The coaches are professionals and should act as such. Saban has been called out before for his attitude on the sidelines and he probably will be again. Passion is one thing but, poor sportsmanship is another all together.
