Never been a ref, but if some hot headed coach came at me like that I'd toss some more laundry for unsportsmanlike conduct. If the coach then decided to throw a bigger tantrum, I'd toss them out the game. Seems simple to me. Why do the coaches get to act like complete arse-hats to the officials? The SEC needs to fine these coaches for their disturbing lack of self control.

thats how it works in baseball. with all the intimidation of referees i've seen from NFL players this year, i'm starting to think the head coaches should be held responsible for the behavior of the players too. if your players get out of line, you're gone too. put the emphasis and the accountability for sportsmanship on the coaches.

i dont think anyone wants the game to be about the referee but some of the ridiculous behavior towards the officials has got to stop. that type of shite becomes contagious and permeates lower levels of the game too.

I heard Mack Brown on FBaum back in August. Mack said it took him over a year to get over that beat down. Said he even called Saban for advice on how to move past it. You can probably go to finebaum.com and look for the podcast

I remember hearing that. Mack also said watching Alabama play ball, he knows what it takes to compete for the BCSNC now, better than he did back in 2009.

Said, he knew he had to change his offense and get stronger, more physical guys on defense if he's gonna have Texas back in the hunt.

Did he give the ref a "For you my friend?" LSU folks love "For you my friend", much less refs.

Because I believe in helping those that are less fortunate - google is your friend - just google Mack Brown on Finebaum - all your friends on Shaggy Bevo have posted comments on it.

You'd know this but you're too busy wanting to be a part of a real football crowd that you just hate to go home and see the shite pile that is Longhorn football in the corner.

Best of luck dumbass - in life you're really going to need it.

He wins, so folks can forgive a lot...
But Saban seems like the biggest constipated a-hole I've ever seen. He's going to fricking explode on the sideline someday.

This is the butterfly effect for Bama.

This will start the great decline of Bama football.

This is just the begining.....

Here's Saban discussing a penalty with the same ref.

And here's Saban reacting to the fumble in the second half against the owls.

that didn't happen. You must be thinking about Saban telling McCarron to calm the frick down.

I believe it worked too.
