I don't remember Bama being much of a factor in colelge football from 1995, when i started watching, until Saban showed up. I could be wrong, i'm sure they had some decent seasons but i could have sworn Auburn was the strongest program in the state. I think auburn won like 9 in a row in their series too

So why is that list crap while handicapping Alabama by requiring a date range which solely consists of one of the darkest stretches in Alabama history is perfectly acceptable?

If you're going to be intellectually dishonest and transparently fallacious, at least be consistent. I mean shite. You even made your start date 1993 in order to exclude an undefeated season.

What you're trying to do is devious enough, you're just not clever enough to pull it off.

no, obviously you won the title the year, but you keep saying bama is this awesome program but it really hasn't been most of the modern era, maybe partly b/c they cheated so much when then were good.

I think Saban was going to win anywhere he went, he could have done the same thing at Clemson if he wanted to.

Here, I'll even use your own shitty technique against you, fun Clemson fan:

Find Alabama and Clemson in this list and realize that Alabama is a better program than Clemson and it's not even remotely close.

well this list is bogus b/c it has teams in weak conferences like Eastern Carolina ranked above Clemson.

Alabama is well known for its recruiting cheating. all their football history is tainted now. We just have to assume saban is running a clean ship which is somewhat hard to believe since he is EVIL. LOL

Or could it be because Clemson lost almost as many games as they won?

Ignore the ranking and ONLY look at the percentages. Compare Alabama to Clemson and know that you root for what is -- at best -- pretty much a perennial mid-major.

And at worst?

A fricking loser.

what I mean by the modern era of football is since like 1990 or so until now. You were good at the beginning, good at the end, really bad in the middle which balances out to average.

Um. No it isn't. By anyone's standards other than yours. Sorry, you can't keep moving the goalpost in order to keep your rapidly submerging argument afloat.

moving the goalposts is referring to the modern era as the last 25 years? LOL maybe it is just accurately defining something.

When all else fails, resort to the academics smack.

I accept your concession of defeat, fun man.

Oh, by the way, if our little debates -- and our respective lexical and logical abilities -- are any indication, I've benefited far more from my Alabama education than you have from your Clemson education.

You're in way over your head.
