I don't know of any former coach that has blasted Saban, unless they were terminated by for not living up to the standard he sets.

Will Kiffin have the same success somewhere else that he had at Bama or at USC? It's an unknown at this point. Will O have the same work ethic and attention to detail that Saban demands? I would say probably not.

It's like in high demand job you bust your arse and get pay off. Probably appreciate the career inprovement.

It's like working for Goldman Sachs

The only reason kiffin to lsu could make senses is if he thinks more career rehab needs to happen. Maybe needs to prove he can do it without Saban.

Not saying it is likely

I don't see why Kiffin, who will probably be sought after in head coaching searches, would make a lateral move (at best) within the conference.

Thats really the question is he getting the type of offers he wants?

Also is he really just getting 500k

Ego works two ways. Aka working for a former employee O vs getting what he "deserves".

He isn't. He was getting $700,000 when he was still being paid by USC. That ended right as this season started, at which point he got a huge raise and is now one of if not the the highest paid assistant in college football. He makes more that Jeremy Pruitt.

Yeah. I keep seeing LSU people say they'll pay 2 million and I laugh. Apparently they don't get that if Alabama were to renew him at the same salary he is making now, leaving for 2 mil would be a pay cut.

Full disclosure, I think the whole discussion is moot. He gets a head coaching job this time around.

The point was about Kiffins success, not sabans. You can also poke holes all you'd like. It's a subjective matter and I never said I hold thos position. I simply stated that some people attribute Kiffins success at Bama to the system he is working in. Geez you people try to argue over everything

That was the point I was trying to make but apparently Its an irrational thought to believe Kiffins success is attributed to saban around here

What fricking system?

He took Blake Sims and Jake Coker and won SEC and National Championships with them.

He took an offense that lost 8 starters from 2014 including at least 3 OL, QB, 2 RBs, and Amari Cooper and won the national championship AND produced a Heisman winner.

He took a wet behind the ears 17 yr old QB, a few inexperienced RBs one of which is a truefrosh, and has them 12-0 headed into Bama's 3rd SECCG in a row and primed for the 3rd consecutive playoff.

The system of having how many consecutive number 1 recruiting classes?? When you have nfl talent spread throughout your team, it's sort of easy to win. Now is that talent being on Kiffins offense his doing or Saban's? Pretty simple really, if Kiffin is so responsible for the success Alabama is having then explain why they were so successful before he got there? Also, explain why Saban had to take Kiffin under his wing to restore his credibility. I really don't know what point you are arguing anymore.

Not to mention playing begind record setting defenses.....it's a system
