Pretty sure he went to Fresno St. Either way San Jose St is awful and I wouldn't think he'd want to go somewhere like that.

lsu saved Saban arse from the Dolphins dumpster fire and I don't see any loyalty to that

Kiffin is no angel. And maybe Saban told behind closed doors to stop doing whatever he did before

Saban is douchey whiny bitch most of the time He just is. Doesn't mean he isn't a great coach for bama

You can be both. This bammer need for him to be Abraham Lincoln is ridiculous

One thing that us Bama fans forget...LSIxU posters place a high premium on having a HC that's a nice guy, a HC that the players want to play for because he's nice. Those types of HCs always win more than coaches who are assholes and whose players despise him.

And disregard all of those #1 consecutive recruiting classes that Saban has pulled in, obviously all smoke and mirrors...because who in their right mind would want to play for an a-hole.

Curious what you think?

Can we agree Saban is best ever college coach, but some people didn't enjoy working for him long term

Saban's pretty influential. That's been demonstrated. It wouldn't likely cost Kiffin a job, but it could easily cost him a desired job if Saban offers a potential employer a negative assessment. Kiffin might be immature, but I'm not sure he's stupid enough to overlook that.

You're crazy if you think Saban wants Kiffin in the same conference with him not to mention the same division. Saban will say and do whatever he has to to make sure Kiffin is out of the SEC.

How bad is the Orgeron hire if he thinks Kiffin will make a lateral move to LSU to work for a guy who used to work for him where he has to play Alabama every year with inferior players and inferior coaches?

It's not as hard to win with 5 star talent stacked on your 2 deep roster.

Saban didn't have that when he went 12-2 in 2008. Or 14-0 in 2009. But don't let me poke holes in your narrative. Please continue.

Of course we can agree on that, it's your cohorts would have us believe that errbody hates Saban and hated working for him. Not everybody has the intense work ethic and attention to detail that Saban has, therefore their probability of similar success is pretty small.

I don't know of any former coach that has blasted Saban, unless they were terminated by for not living up to the standard he sets.

Will Kiffin have the same success somewhere else that he had at Bama or at USC? It's an unknown at this point. Will O have the same work ethic and attention to detail that Saban demands? I would say probably not.

Orgeron said they talk often - just not the week of the LSU bama game this year -so you have to think it has been discussed. As mentioned earlier - this isn't some pure fan base delusion - orgeron has said so much.

Would the guy make a lateral move? Seems unlikely -my guess would be he is of course looking for a hc job. But another aspect - folks keep saying he maybe tired of Saban on his arse - his contract is up in February, sark is there as a consultant - he'll Saban might be tired of having to be on his arse, just a thought - lane might need a job as opposed to looking to take a job.
