This really surprises me. it's probably a Dameyune Craig-like "Co-OC" title where he really doesn't get much input, just a pay raise

I'd think special teams. Or continue to split OL coaching duties. Maybe both.

Locksley will coach TEs too. Something he's done beforehand at Maryland.

Whoever Alabama hires to be the 10th coach he needs to be a beast recruiter in South Florida to replace Cristobal.

Locker was drafted almost entirely on his athletic potential.

He got progressively worse in Sark's system...

Usually that is done by naming the Asst Head Coach.

What's that got to do with being Co-OC?

It's just a title to get more money, especially with the 10th position about to open up. Locksley will help with gameplanning like he did all this past year and probably be in the booth.

Usually I agree with you. I don't on this.

Jake Locker improved his completion percentage, passing yards, and TD-INT ratio in 2009 and 2010 under Sarkisian.

2007: 328 attempts, 155 completions, 47.3%, 2062 yards, 14-15 ratio
2008: 93 attempts, 50 completions, 53.8%, 512 yards, 1-0 ratio
2009: 395 attempts, 230 completions, 58.4%, 2800 yards, 21-11 ratio
2010: 332 attempts, 184. completions, 55.4%, 2265 yards, 17-9 ratio

Saban can sure pick em.

In late May 2009, a former administrative assistant at New Mexico filed an age and sex discrimination complaint against Locksley with the Equal Opportunity Commission.[13] The complaint was filed by Locksley's former administrative assistant Sylvia Lopez, who claimed to have been subjected to age and sexual discrimination before being transferred out of Locksley's office. The claims were later withdrawn.[14]

In late September 2009, Locksley was reprimanded for an altercation with an assistant coach. He was subsequently suspended without pay for ten days.[15] He was not on the sideline for the game against UNLV on October 24, 2009.[16] Locksley led his Lobos to 1–11 records his first and second seasons. The high buyout was a large reason UNM chose at first not to fire him.[17] New Mexico athletic director Paul Krebs, who made the decision to retain Locksley, expected improvement in the 2011 season.[18] On September 25, 2011, Locksley was relieved of his duties following an 0–4 start that culminated in a loss at home to FCS Sam Houston State as well as the arrest of a minor for a DWI while driving a car registered to Locksley's 19-year-old son Meiko, a member of the Lobo Football team.

Then Saban made Dabo his bitch last year? And it's a wash? And Alabama didn't implode?

Locksley sucks too. They should go to a co-co-OC. Or maybe even a co-co-co-OC

Or maybe they should hire chip Kelly so the defense can be on the field for 110 plays next game

Clemson outplayed bama last year too. It took trick plays for bama to stay in the game. Dabo drew blood in that game but this time he got the knockout blow

And Alabama is still national champs in 2015. As Clemson is in 2016.

Yea, that's why we had a 10 point lead with 20 seconds to play.

Dead on

And that's fine, but you can clearly see his regression his Senior year, even when they ran the ball more.

Beyond stats though, Sark couldn't fix his mechanics, the biggest knock on Locker coming into the draft and why he failed in the NFL.

Not to say he can't fix Hurts' problems, but he couldn't fix Locker's...

Have you considered his injuries in 2010?

I don't consider Hurts to have the terrible habits Locker created while playing for two years under Willingham. Who also nearly broke Brady Quinn.

I used Locker as a worst case scenario that Sarkisian worked with. I'd like to think people can see he did fairly well with the offenses at USC as a coordinator, and continued to be fairly consistent as a head coach at Washington and later USC.
